The Senate just confirmed Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, 50-48. Kavanaugh confirmed to Supreme Court https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/06/politics/kavanaugh-final-confirmation-vote/index.html Thus ends one of the ugliest and most repugnant episodes in American politics - certainly, the ugliest since Clarence Thomas was nominated to the Supreme Court. My take? The Left has moved from Alinsky to Stalin-Beria. The good news is that it lost, which is a victory for America.
It is good news but I don’t think the ugly has left the room. Democrats have nothing to lose anymore. They’ve shown their ugly side to the public. They will use it more now. There’s a conflict coming.
Well the left are certainly screwed now. I can't wait for someone to bring gay marriage or abortion back to the Court. It should be very interesting times ahead.
The good news is that they lost and that their power has been checked but I think violence will be erupting very soon. They are livid and they are violent.
Next up - how will this play out in the midterms? The Left's smear campaign has energized conservative voters. The question in my mind is whether or not many Leftist voters will abandon the Democrats for failing to block Kavanaugh's confirmation?
The good news is these same democrats are driving away would be voters, not attracting them. Stupid is as stupid does.
LOL - That about sums it up. Now America can take a shower and wash the Left's Festival of Feces off. I'm sure I speak for many when I say I'm glad this whole sordid affair is finally over...
Hopefully, no one gets the Steve Scalise treatment. I can't help but be a little concerned for Joe Manchin's welfare. When he cast his vote some lunatic in the Senate gallery absolutely lost it...
well we had a known rapist in the oval office from 1993 - 2001, so the bar has already been set pretty low. and besides, according to andrea dworkin, every man is a possible rapist.
What a great day for America. The presumption of innocence, due process and facts prevailed and the Left's scumbaggery failed - again.
Funny the Trump fanboys are so happy to have a Bush Neo-con appointed to the court ... the day before Trump nominated Kavanaugh they would have declared a Bush Neo-Con the worst sort of conservative ... now they applaud getting one a seat on the Court. WTF - make up your minds.
And they fired up an apathetic and complacent conservative base, to boot. For what? A sordid and futile attempt to block a SC nomination Democrats didn't have a prayer of blocking...
I dont think either of those are in danger. Theres little if any constitutional precedent for either being substantially altered. Gun control, however, will get interesting
