That must mean a lot of people are killing themselves with guns in those states. Gun control can help to reduce that

From your link..." Many lives would likely be saved if people disposed of their firearms, kept them locked away, or stored them outside the home."

The disposing of a firearm would be up to the person. Keeping guns locked away would be up to the person but also a bit silly as a reason that could save a life. If the person locked up their gun then it stands to reason they can unlock their gun. Then there is 'storing them outside the home'. Like where? A safety deposit box? That all aside...are you proposing we implement laws forcing people to lock up their guns outside the home?
What gun control laws prevent someone from using their gun on themselves?

Remember...it wasn't Cruz fault....it was the guns fault.

Yup, gotta watch those AR's, they're sneaky and like to put on backpacks full of mags, then take a Uber to the local high school on Mothers Day.

Because the Broward School Board and the BSO supported a program that intervened on the behalf of youthful offenders, Cruz was known to be violent, threatened neighbors with his AR-15, threatened his mother with his AR-15, lied on a 4473 about having mental problems and passed a FBI NICS background check.

His family contacted the FBI stating he was going to shoot up a school, he posted on Facebook he wanted to become the "best" mass killer in the U.S., the BSO was out to his home something like 22 times, he was known to be violent and armed, but being youthful, he got a pass and then went on to kill 17 innocents.

Considering he violated 2 federal felonies and 5 state felonies and nothing was done, it is quite clear any additional gun laws are nothing more than wasted ink on paper.

End result 34 felonies, 17 dead, when it could have been stopped with a single arrest, but we can't do that, it might ruin a young person's life.

And that is what happens when one mixes gun control and crime prevention, with liberal ideals.

Nope they should have locked him up. Good gun control should involve enforcement which may mean dangerous people need to be locked up or at least have their access to guns removed. This is common sense

If law enforcement isn't going to enforce current laws what makes you think they will enforce any additional laws?

And that is why additional gun laws are not needed, law enforcement already has the legal tools they need to do a great job of suppressing gun violence, but lacks the resources to do the job and the legal system, under pressure by liberals to not send criminals to prison where they belong, results in the existing gun laws being considered a joke by criminals who could care less about some silly gun law when they don't care about murdering someone.

Additional laws do nothing, but make some people feel better about themselves by advocating for them.

That plan is just not working. There is no large city state or country on earth that can enforce lax gun laws well enough to achieve low gun deaths. It just can't be done.

Now there are places with low gun deaths.....and they all have strict gun laws. That CAN be done

Right...very few guns in circulation. Only way that can happen in the US is through confiscation. Is that what you're advocating for?

I am against gun bans in general. But if a prohibited person is found with a gun it should be confiscated

That's bull, are you claiming threatening someone with a rifle is violating a 'lax" gun law, are you claiming threatening to "shoot up a school" is violating a "lax" gun law, or are you claiming violating two federal gun laws is violating "lax" gun laws.

All of those are felonies with long sentences, your proposed gun laws would be a slap on the wrist in comparison.

You are truly exposing yourself for how phony you really are.

Can't do that without making an arrest and that is where the roadblocks come in.
