    Whether VA is alleged to be ok somewhere does not overcome the fact that its lousy everywhere else

    Very few vets would go to the VA if they had any other choice

    I bet your right!
    VA should have stuck to treating war injuries instead of trying to cover only a few million people with complete services including clinics and hospitals.
    A problem Medicare does not have.

    They do if they are retired military with TriCare or have private health insurance that allows them to see private doctors

    Civilization does more than merely tax its members. It also imposes standards of behavior concerning acts affecting others.

    Why are you limiting your moaning about civilization to taxes?

    The root problem with VA is that very few Americans use it.

    Democracy doesn't really work like that. We cut programs nobody uses, especially when there are options such as our other two healthcare systems.

    How many healthcare systems do you think we need?

    Civilization does not impose taxes. Governments imposes taxes.

    It amazes me how people conflate the terms "civilization", "society" and "government".
