Are you still holding out hope Theresa's an attack and they were white? Why would he still be wearing the rope around his neck 45 minutes after the attack?

His statements, if made under oath, are proof. The justice system relies on eyewitness testimony, especially from the victim, as the sole method for proving a great deal of elements of a crime.

But yes, I am including that quote as a refutation against the notion that the "this is MAGA country" claim was created out of whole cloth by TMZ.

Let's look at what has to have happened for this to be true.

Two white racists had to not only know about the show, know him, and care about him enough to stalk his life, in order to know he'd be in Chicago.
They had to have found out where he is staying. (how'd they do that?)
They had to know he'd be hungry at 2:00 a.m. (how did they know that?)
So they could be outside waiting for him while the temp outside is -30 (wind chill,) which causes frost bite in 10-ish minutes.

Literally none of those scenarios have to be true (Except the one about them knowing who he was) in order for the attack to take place.

Yes, they are. Consider the classic scenario of a he said, she said with no other evidence.

In those scenarios, the jury is wholly within its right to convict someone beyond a reasonable doubt based purely on the testimony presented. And that is because the testimony under oath is evidence.

 

Wrong his statements are accusations, accusations are not proof.

 

I am suggesting that Jessie Smullet was attacked, at 2 am, in Chicago, by two people in ski masks who yelled racist and homophobic slurs, placed a rope around his neck, and poured some substance believed to be bleach on him before he fought them off and they also yelled "this is maga country."

 

Not only that, but according to the USA Today article, he came home a day early then scheduled...so how did these alledged MAGE, white guys know he'd be home early?

Statements have to be corroborated and CREDIBLE.

Evidences arent proof... You're a lousy lawyer if this is the best you can do.

 

And the accusation is only that an accusation not proof and when the accusation is later embellished it loses veracity.
