They said no such thing, they said that the impression given was that the threat from Iraq was far greater than it was and that Iraq's WMD stockpiles were scattered around the country and dated from the 90s.

It's okay to admit you bought into the myth, you're still allowed to disagree with the war.

Ford-served on US aircraft carrier in WW2 and saw more combat than the other presidents combined?
How was Reagan racist exactly? Are you actually claiming the DEA invented crack? Reaganomics worked out pretty well and Iran/Contra succeeded in its' aims.
Bush 41 had no quagmire in Iraq and Bush 43 eventually sorted it out. What racism from Bush 43 exactly? Appointing Colin Powell and Condeleeza Rice?
Clinton was impeached, he was just found innocent by the Senate..
How exactly did Obama hate his own people?

What about them? I am flat out right! You CAN admit there were WMDs and still oppose the war you know, it is a statement of fact.

went with clinton, aka billy goat, his lawsuit against citibank (all creditors) was based on, you guessed it, discrimination and forced the subprime loan scandal, which we're still suffering from today.

btw: the lawyer that filed that suit for billy goat... yep, thats right, obama, the guy that single handedly destoyed our military...

I know you're just kidding, Vegas, but the Millennials and Gen Zer's will think you've gone crazy! Or maybe not.... Now, that's a depressing-as-hell thought....

I'm glad the guy I voted for (LBJ) is well ahead. People give LBJ credit for civil rights legislation yet much of that was proposed by JFK.

take a look at the list, mostly career poli's & lawyers to boot, and for the most part, sucked... rather than follow with tradition, the non-politician was & is the better choice... the left just has an issue with losing, just look at history, every single time that the dems lost, huge unyeilding whining followed until they won an election, then its all quiet...

there hasnt been a better prez since reagan other than trump... and i despise him as a person, but he gets things done, whether you wish to admit it or not...

The prez with 60% executive time, IE watching tv, is your pick for one of the greatest.
Pretty low standards, but hey, to each their own.

In fairness LBJ was probably the most effective of presidents, able to pass legislation through both houses in the teeth of opposition.

Well LBJ had been a Senate mover and shaker himself. And the Democrats had very solid control of both houses while he was president.

At least that is the appearance when there are polls.
Several polls done here over the years we done in a manner that basically showed party line voting. Maybe it's just liberals don't respond to polls like RWers? Not sure.
But based on past polls, it usually comes out 70% are for a RW side to about 25% for the LW side with a few in betweeners.

    No.
You could look at this poll results and get a gut feel.
Or if you're really interested, pull up past polls, are look at results. Especially if the polls are issue specific and partisan in nature.

    That is all I got.

    Oh bull sh*t.

While the war on poverty was constructed poorly, and encouraged the end of black people getting married, which lead to social problems later on, due to single parent households and kids being raised by the streets of criminality, one thing that LBJ did do, and in a big way, was to improve the lives of millions of black americans who were as dirt poor, as I have ever seen. Here in the south, they seldom could afford a car, living in literal shacks, wore rags, and suffered from poverty, in part created by racism.

Within a few years, by the mid 70s, my black neighbors were getting out of the falling down shacks, could get a factory job, and had the money to actually own some kind of car. And you say the war on poverty was a failure? ha ha

LBJ did more to help black americans than anyone else in my life time. No, he did not end poverty, but he sure as hell alleviated suffering that no american should have to endure because of the color of their skin.

I think he was a good president, a notable one, even with his warts.

IMO, the worst president in my life, was obama. And almost as bad was Bush Jr. The best? FDR. The hands down winner, evidenced by the fact he served longer than any president ever, because although the cons don't like him today, the people of his era did, and liked him so much they put him into office 4 times!! So he was doing something right and americans liked it. The ones living in that great depression and ww2 unlike the cons who diss him today. ha ha

In fairness, if World War Two had not broken out, FDR was never going to be reelected. He probably wasn't even going to run for a third term in 1940. Prior to the war breaking out in 1939 he was already talking about working on his Presidential Library when he left office in a couple of years.

    honest response deserves a 'like'...

it seems the other way around to me.

wonder if it's similar to when you get a new car, all of a sudden you see them everywhere... is it because that's what's in the forefront of our mind at the time ??? plausibly...

If Obama were have not been President I would bet Carter would have received 43.2% of the votes as the worst President.

Woodrow Wilson supported women's sufferage and doomed the male gender in the United States ever since. Stupid FOID lover.

As they say, perception is reality. And yes, I buy a car and all of a sudden, there's thousands more just like mine that I never noticed before.

I am in Engineering, and I've been proven wrong on perception, when I would run tests and gather data only to discover, something completely opposite.
It's why today, I prefer facts to people's perceptions.

Having voted Obama I was surprised I was not alone. Not hardly.

There is lot on the list to hold against this or that presidency
but, the Obama presidency stands out as the President who had the least
love of country demonstrated by foreign policy based on Anti Colonialism.
I did not understand the term at first until I observed, any nation that
might have had colonies at one time was disfavored.

Is it possible Obama spending his formative years in the
    Indonesian outback, not a capitol, was part of the problem;
distaste for "The West" and a lack of love of country?

Then there were his appointments, riddled with Black Nationalism.
Lesser Federal judges. 2 Attorney generals who can't achieve mediocre.
And serving as Race Baiter in Chief.
Where was any improvement in race relations expected of our first Black president?

Oh, my I'm the racist for the expectation.

I hope I live long enough to witness a true critique of the Obama presidency.
So far it seems he gets "bonus points" and pampering on his presidency reviews.

    Moi :oldman:
    Voted Obama in '08
    and he lied to me.

    Obama was soft on :flagcanada:
    as demonstrated by Trump
