It's also well watered with a lot of melting snow so that water is one of their biggest commodities. So much so, that they are thinking of shipping and selling it to places that need it.

This doesn't mean that the Soviet Union didn't ruin some areas by irrigation or that there weren't areas used as testing grounds for nuclear weapons. But taking Russia's size and its lack of population, the effects on the country would be minimal.

As for fracking in the US you're right. I see maps and there are thousands upon thousands of drilling points, and it does affect the water. Besides that it makes holes in the crust and they can never be closed again. They also cause earthquakes since they allow a release of the magma pressure as it goes from West to East.

But it's not all bad. If that pressure wasn't released it would build up at the New Madras Fault, and that's the area of America's most disastrous earthquakes. The earthquakes occurred at the beginning of the 19th century and they went on for 6 months. The Mississippi River actually flowed backwards, and one town sank and became a lake while another area rose up.

If such a thing was to happen today, it would destroy Saint Louis and affect cities like Memphis, Nashville and even Chicago. The last time the shaking was so strong, that church bells could be heard ringing in Boston - and that's over a thousand miles away.

The affects would be disastrous not only for the Middle West, but also the East Coast since it's dependent on foods coming from the West. For the trucks to get to the East, they have to cross the Mississippi and it can't be done without bridges.

This is what globalism does. Instead of areas being self sufficient in the basic necessities of life, they have made us all vulnerable to natural disasters as well as wars.

Anyway back to the subject. More than likely, some agri company such as Monsanto was the cause of the defects in the babies in France. I suspect the feed or the fertilizer.

Last week, 100 sky divers died after jumping out of their planes without parachutes. A post-modernist noticed all had been wearing green boots and speculated if that might be the cause of the tragedy.

Appropriate government agencies are investigating and are expected to issue subpoenas for green dye and paint makers, as well as leather processors, boot makers, and other involved industries. Officials reportedly do not suspect the parachutes were the problems as none were wearing any. Go figure.

The moral: Be careful of statistics; they are not cause and effect. They are only a reflection of a moment in time, i.e., they tell what happened, not how or why.

Crimes and inhumanity means nothing to our embedded Washington sociopaths and their propaganda outlets. The only thing that matters is to keep the crimes hidden so they can retain their power.

As an example, when I was young I would hear news on the radio in the early hours such as the US Navy developed a toothpaste that prevents cavities and things of that sort. When I tried to find it in the newspapers during the day there was nothing. Later on I read that we have law that news must be reported, so if they don't want people to know something they put it on during hours that have a limited audience.

This of course worsened as our government became more crime infested, especially with Clinton when he gave the opportunity for 6 corporations to buy up all the major news outlets. As an example, when Obama planned on bombing Damascus over a false flag attack by Turkey and KSA in support of the terrorists, the only interviews against the bombing were in the late hours when most people were asleep.

Another example is how the MSM harped on seven non existent hospitals in Syria that Russia supposedly bombed in Syria so it could cover up the criminal actions of our air force in bombing an actual hospital in Afghanistan.

Almost the same way that American's do, with the major difference being the bulk is from Canadian media sources. Course the internet provides access to the world media as well. Which was my point.

When consuming "foreign" media reports, I think its prudent to apply some critical thinking to the spin being presented. I suspect I am in the minority tho.

you could lip read them adding "death to Israel" or some such.
Just before Al Jazeera lost support they were producing Edward R. Morrow
style documentaries and had Israeli gov't ministers being interviewed and
treated respectfully.
The Arab Spring made them into responsible journalist and their Arab financing disappeared.

We know who RT is and when reading an unbelievable story such as
bombing a Doctors Without Borders hospital, one can always turn to
Google for verification via searching news. That story was buried for weeks
before Western New Media, Inc. just had to give it headline coverage.

Today, the West suffers censorship via choice of story covered.
And no one covers a story everyone else in the west ignores. Not even Fox.

I regularly visit Al Jezeerah. I find it also to be pretty good source for news in the middle east. It sure does provide a journalistic viewpoint on what the hell is going on in the middle east, despite its obvious anti-Israeli bias.

RT does engage in journalism on occasion depending on the topic. OTOH, it is an outrageous propaganda mill for Putin regardless.
