Babies Are being Born Without Arms In France

I went to high school with a girl who didn't have arms (congenital birth defect). She used to brush her teeth using her foot etc. She was also a very gifted athlete. I have seen several other examples should they be required...

 

I can only think of the pain of the parents in cases like this. They carry an immense Cross, that I wouldn't wish on my worse enemy. But killing babies or anyone is never the answer. I recall the pain I felt when I saw my grandson's classmate rolling himself around without legs. He was happy, but it was painful to see him.

Of course that was back at the end of Oct thru mid Nov of last year, so no wonder it isn't currently being reported.

The children born with missing limbs are all from very rural farming communities where animals have also been born with limb abnormalities.It is more than likely that it is a result of CHEMICALS used in agriculture which surrounds all of these cases.The French government has delayed releasing a comprehensive report on the topic.

My female cousin was born without an arm and is able to lead a normal life as a school teacher, You underestimate human capacity to adapt and change to life's difficult circumstances, as well as the number of people always willing to help others. Most people are good.

An alternative might be to allow these children to live and, if they feel they don't like life, they can easily leave it.

 

Don't you have to establish that standards have changed before you can claim that they have? Seems to me that the FDA is still doing its job just fine.

So you only react to headlines? Taking things at face value, particularly when its spun up into some outrageous conspiracy theory, is a major problem with people's consumption of what often passes for "news"these days.

Blame Canada? No, blame the Trump Administration because it hasn't presented the information required by the U.S.-Canada extradition agreement to effect the exchange.

Then in the case of a baby, the decision should be the mother's, or the future guardian's, and not the decision of total strangers? In the case of an in extremis adult, it should be the decision of that individual, and nobody else should have any say in it. I wouldn't agree that most are, actually, but of course it's subjective. I daresay that anybody could 'get by' with one arm - there's a young female weather presenter for BBC tv who has no forearm and she's good at it: but we're talking no arms, and that's a whole world of difference? Even then, my case here is that it's not for total strangers to poke their noses into the personal lives of others; it sort of exemplifies one of my sigs. the one about None who do so much harm as those obsessed with doing good.
