Top General Says Mexico Border Security Now ‘Existential’ Threat to U.S. .....

Back in 2014.....the Man that BO the Peep put in charge of Southern Command. Along with support from Demo Leaders. Stated that the Mexican Border Security was now an Existential threat to the US.

Bo the peep nor any Democrats refuted what their Man in Charge of Southern Command had stated. Nor did they downgrade any threat to the US Mexican Border. Not only was General Kelly pointing out the broken societies of Latin Countries and the Drug trade. But also how Afghanis and Arabs had made it into Mexico and was trying to cross the US border. Illegally. This also included Daesh types.

Yet the Pathetic and simpleton Democrats and their Cult following think they can play of 30 second to 2 minute soundbites for their Lame excuses. The issues that Kelly reported on in 2014. Have only increased and now involve other people from other countries outside Latin Countries trying to get into the US. The Crisis was real in 2014 and nothing has changed from then til now.

16 States have filed suit against Trumps National Emergency on the Border based on National Security. Naturally the 16 are governments controlled by Democrats. Many of the left thinks this will take years in the Court. It wont.....this issue will be fast tracked to the Supreme Court. Wherein the Demos and their activists will lose. Trump and his Team do have all the data that took place under the Utter Stutterer. Including what the Peeps National Security Chief had from General Kelly. What say ye.



A top United States general in charge of protecting the southern border says he’s been unable to combat the steady flow of illegal drugs, weapons and people from Central America, and is looking to Congress for urgent help.

Marine Corps Gen. John Kelly, commander of U.S. Southern Command, has asked Congress this year for more money, drones and ships for his mission – a request unlikely to be met. Since October, an influx of nearly 100,000 migrants has made the dangerous journey north from Latin America to the United States border. Most are children, and three-quarters of the unaccompanied minors have traveled thousands of miles from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.

“In comparison to other global threats, the near collapse of societies in the hemisphere with the associated drug and [undocumented immigrant] flow are frequently viewed to be of low importance,” Kelly told Defense One. “Many argue these threats are not existential and do not challenge our national security. I disagree.”

In spring hearings before the Senate and House Armed Services Committees, Kelly said that budgets cuts are “severely degrading” the military’s ability to defend southern approaches to the U.S border. Last year, he said, his task force was unable to act on nearly 75 percent of illicit trafficking events. “I simply sit and watch it go by,” he said. But the potential threats are even greater. Kelly warned that neglect has created vulnerabilities that can be exploited by terrorist groups, describing a “crime-terror convergence” already seen in Lebanese Hezbollah’s involvement in the region......snip~

Money could not be given due to the Peeps Sequester. Despite it being a threat to National Security. With the Obama administration calling the flow of children in the U.S. a humanitarian crisis, even some of the most outspoken proponents of immigration reform in Congress are calling for a greater focus on security.

“This is a humanitarian and refugee crisis. It’s being caused in large measure by thousands in Central America who believe it is better to run for their lives and risk dying, than stay and die for sure,” Menendez said. “The bottom line is that we must attack this problem from a foreign policy perspective, a humanitarian perspective, a criminal perspective, immigration perspective, and a national security perspective.”

On Monday, Obama took executive action, saying he will use expanded powers to address the situation. In a letter to Congress, he said he would be requesting emergency appropriations to support “an aggressive deterrence strategy” and “a sustained border security surge.”



Oh my.....and from 2012 until now. The apprehensions have doubled. But it was okay when the Peep called it a Humanitarian crisis and took executive action, huh?

Or we could address what drives them out of Central America: the War on Drugs and its empowerment of drug cartels.

I think they would very quickly find that there is no other illicit product with anything like drugs' profit margins that is worth engaging in full scale wars over.

Except they don’t. You can’t get anywhere like the profit per unit that you can with drugs. 100 kilograms of cocaine is going to net you a lot more money and be a lot more easy to smuggle (and therefore cheaper to smuggle) than 100 kilograms of person.
