I mentioned this to one of our commie friends earlier but I'll reiterate here because is it directly relates to the issue of coercion.

The theme that run's through many of Nobel Prize winning author William Faulkner's works is that Man cannot defy Nature with impunity, and most of all that includes human nature. In the case of Faulkner's novels, this related to chattel slavery in the Antebellum South and how defying human nature brought ruin upon the South and its people. Human beings are meant to be free, not slaves. Southerners tried to defy that and paid dearly for their arrogance.

The exact same principle applied to the Communist Bloc during the 20th Century. Socialists enslaved hundreds of millions of human beings and the results were exactly the same - their arrogance brought ruin on themselves, their people and their countries.

This is one of the main reasons why socialism will never work - it is inconsistent with human nature. People are not cogs in a collectivist machine. They are not slaves to the utopian fantasies of the nihilistic sociopaths who masquerade as "progressives".

I say the oil companies also have wells and drilling rights that they have no plans to use, AND they want to establish their drilling rights in ANWAR. Why? For the SAME REASON they also want Venezuelan oil. So I asked you if you know why oil companies want rights they don't plan to use and you have no answer.... -which means your denial of any U.S. interest in Venezuelan oil is uninformed and meaningless..... unless you can answer my question.
