Throughout history women were second class citizens who were routinely oppressed and abused by men. I guess that's the world you want to return to. Personally, I would support women killing everyone who thinks like you in order to defend themselves from such tyranny.

Well one of use is supported by two separate scientific fields. The other has misogyny and faith. You can be wrong.

The last 40 years of research on PTSD and depression. There is a reason why suicidal thoughts and actions can be known side effects of drugs. The cause is physiological. It comes from one's brain chemistry.

Because for most of human history weapons were based on the strength of the wielder. Men had weapons, men had power, and men used that power to oppress women.

Because women were forced to be in the home and were kept uneducated. Women who attempted to resist that misogyny were faced with abuse and repression, usually violently ending in injury or death.​

Gad. This shouldn't even be a discussion. Liberals have nobody to blame for this full circle but themselves. I guess this is the kind of thing that happens when you're capable only of gaining acceptance from society's people nobody else wants.

I grew up in an ultraconservative southern town. Two lesbians ran the local camera shop. Nobody cared. The shop thrived because they stuck to business and kept their sex lives at home. My mother's hairdresser was also gay. He did very well. He hosted big parties and lots of straight people attended.

 

I wonder how they feel about men dominating the womens sports.

 

But there was very little to be educated about. Pythogoras and Socrates just invented mathematics any philosophy. They didn't study any books, there weren't any. Women had plenty of time to just sit and wonder about the world, but they didn't.​

Relax. Those are just things you have to tell yourself so you can continue to hate. Nobody cares if they stay out of the closet. The issue is trying to force acceptance. I love watching women with athletic bodies play softball, especially the pitchers. They've always had every right straight people have. You're just wrong all the way around. Watching the infighting is very entertaining though.

How exactly do you know they didn't? What they couldn't do was write and read. We know for a fact that there were female philosophers because male philosophers wrote polemics against them. And they used the same kind of misogynistic arguments you would: "Women don't have the brains to be philosophers." "Women should be at home taking orders from men instead of engaging in philosophy."

Except as I showed in another thread, the majority of Americans already supported overturning sodomy laws and for gays to have equal rights when Lawrence v Texas happened. Even then, anti-gay bigotry and wanting to keep gays "in the closet" was an abnormal belief and supporting gays and their freedom was normal.
