Judge: Stop Sending Asylum Seekers to Mexico

A federal judge in California issued an order Monday blocking the Trump administration's policy of returning some asylum-seekers to Mexico while they wait for a court appearance.

Thank God there are judges who have not succumbed to the insanity that's gripping the Right. Even the departing DHS Secretary deserves some credit for refusing to carry out Trump's illegal orders (although it must be said that "refusing to break the law" is setting the bar very low).

 

And just how do we determine where they actually came from?

They obviously entered from the Mexican side of the border, so if they're not Mexican citizens let Mexico send them back to Guatemala, and so on.

 

Right? God forbid future (D) votes get lost in Mexico! The horror!

 

The temporary holding facilities are all full, there's a crisis on the border.

Keep in mind we have no idea who these people are, in many cases, or whether they may have a criminal history in another country.

Where do you suppose they should be sent while they are waiting?

 

Well! maybe you should have these asylum seekers move in with you, while they're awaiting their court appearance. The DNC and 100's of illegal asylum seekers would be so appreciative of your generosity.

 

It would be cheaper for them to wait it out in Mexico.

Rents and cost of living in the U.S. is much more expensive.

 

Wouldn't surprise me if the Democrats try to use US tax dollars to pay for the rent of these illegal Aliens.

 

They already are in California.

 

These people are turning themselves in for asylum processing and are not 'captures.'

 

But didn't you hear that the liberals want to house them in plush hotels at your taxpayer expense.

Makes it easier for them to register them to vote.

 

Asylum is a joke.

They leave Central America and then travel 1,500 miles through Mexico. At any point in Mexico, they can apply for asylum. But they don’t do it. They only do it when they cross the border into the U.S.

Asylum means getting to the nearest safe place to avoid what you had in your own country. Mexico satisfies that criteria.

These are not “asylum seekers”. These are economic migrants who just want a pay raise. That doesn’t qualify them to live in the U.S.

If the waves of foreign nationals invading our country were beneficial to America, would have built a wall complete with mine fields and gun towers.

 

Federal Judges do not have power over foreign policy nor immigration law. They do not make laws and should not be doing it.

The precedent is to respect the decision of a federal judge but it is not required. Only the SCOTUS is on the same level as the Executive and Legislative branches of government.

It is time ignore these activist judges.

 

Of course this came from a court in San Francisco. Soon, it will be in the 9th circuit, where it will be upheld where it will get fast tracked to the SCOTUS where it will be overturned. And in the interim, hundreds of thousands of folks will stream in that this judge doesn't have to personally vouch for who may or may not ever show up to their legal hearings, and he "feels" better about himself. What a toss. And liberals tell us they aren't into slavery... And yet, here they are, aiding and abetting human trafficking right out in the open.

Somehow the logic that asylum is human trafficking and slavery is very, darkly, laughable.

 

They don’t deserve (qualify for) asylum. They can apply for asylum in Mexico. They don’t need to travel 1,500+ miles to the U.S.

This is just about cramming as many brown people down our throats as physically possible.

The left’s goal is to poke white America in the eye.

And that is why so many have stated that there is a need for the hiring of more judges to address this situation. Instead, the number has been lowered. Can you explain that?
