They are taking advantage of a loophole in the law that should be closed

 

The law is the law, and their is loophole, no matter how long anyone claims such.

Anyone who does not like can petition for the law to be changed.

 

It is no scam. There is no immigration clause in our Constitution and we should have no illegal problem. All foreign nationals in the US should have a federal id.

We should be upgrading Ellis Island and surrounding infrastructure.

A fee or a fine could help fund those infrastructure upgrades.

There should be no black market enabled by Government sloth.

The entire US population can fit in the State of Texas. New Cities in more optimal location can only upgrade our economy.

I don't blame the children or even the adults that bring them here. You and I would do the same. I blame us for rewarding their crimes. When they get here, they are provided for and still have money left over to send back home along with the message: Come on over! Bring the kids!

 

Well, then not 100% of illegal immigrants commit crimes. The ones Democrats have been trying to save (DACA) didn't commit a crime at all when they were brought here. The rest have committed a crime (illegally coming here), but then so does any driver on the road who goes over the speed limit, which is pretty much all of us. Unless you're talking about a serious crime, the label "criminal" is pretty meaningless. The Republican talking point during the Mueller probe was the average American commits three crimes before breakfast (or something like that).

I am not a republican and my position is the result of growing up in a gang-infested neighborhood. These children are also frequent victims of gang violence and many end up joining gangs. I hope you never know what it is like to have your life threatened.

For young females being transported illegally, it is almost guaranteed they will be raped. While I feel for those struggling to support their families, those living south of our border are still better off than much of the world. Americans who have a genuine concern can send financial aid anywhere in the world. Are the lives of children less valuable if there is an ocean in between?

BTW, the average American does commit several federal crimes on a daily basis. There are more laws on the books that you can read if you live to be 1000 years old. We imprison more of our population than the rest of the world. Republicans want to continue imprisoning people for having pot, so it doesn't look like they are on the side of limiting the influence of our overreaching justice system.

 

Perhaps its time to take a page out of Bill Clinton's playbook, and send these asylum seekers to Gitmo, like the Haitians and Cubans were sent back in the early 90's. If they don't meet the asylum requirements they could be released to the Cubans...

 

Our welfare clause is General and we have a Commerce Clause in particular.

Promoting the General welfare means ending the prohibition of an immigration clause. We have a naturalization clause for a reason.

Upgrading Ellis Island and surrounding infrastructure could be accomplished in a much more market friendly manner than any black market can ever hope to accomplish. We should have no illegal problem with a naturalization clause simply Because all foreign nationals subject to US jurisdiction must have a federal id.

Can it be, merely right wing bigotry that causes the right wing to eschew Capitalism at every opportunity.
