I'll let you get back to abolishing ice, tearing down the wall, and disarming everyone except criminals, who you'll be registering to vote.

    I rest mine.

thank you for the citation. i skimmed the thread, some i agree with, some seems superfluous. the current immigration laws are fine. the thing we lack is the will to enforce them. there are already mechanisms to punish employers, for example. but nobody wants to do it. there are mechanisms to deport illegal aliens, but the bureaucracy makes the process exceedingly complicated, cumbersome, and lengthy.

    my 3 step plan:

    1. turn off the neon welcome sign: go after employers (biggest draw), require proof of legal residency to attend public schools and universities, reserve all public benefits to legal residents only, fix the 14th amendment.
    2. make it a felony to aid and abet illegal aliens, human smugglers, or anyone else involved in the contravention of our immigration laws (ie sanctuary cities/states), make it a felony to harbor illegal aliens or to interfere with federal law enforcement agencies in the lawful commission of their duties (ie sanctuary cities/states).
    3. make it a felony to illegally enter the united states, with a mandatory 10 year prison sentence and immediate deportation and a lifetime ban on lawful entry upon the completion of the sentence.

What is more socialist than Dirty Donalds latest proposal to bail out farmers for the lost income his misguided tariffs have cost them with taxpayer money???

We have 7 million unfilled jobs, according to the labor bureau, and we also have 95 million between the ages of 16-64 unemployed who could potentially fill those jobs as they presently do not work.

    Np!

Such is the nature of compromise. There will always be some parts of a compromise that one agrees with and others that you disagree with. The question is whether or not one can come to accept the parts they don't much care for in order order to get at least some of the more desirable pieces that one really wants.

Yes, I agree fleshing out exactly how policies like this would actually be enforced is an important part of the puzzle.

This is part of Tier 1 of the PF consensus, and I agree its sort of a must have to any comprehensive plan imo.

These I haven't heard much talk of.

By fix, do you mean ending and or curtailing birthright citizenship? This was considered during the PF vote, but the idea didn't get much support. There were more people against it than for it. http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php?goto/post&id=1069645253#post-1069645253

This was somewhat addressed as part of Tier 3 of the PF consensus.

Even among folks who considered themselves to be "anti-immigrant" most didn't want to see more immigrants being jailed in the U.S. for long periods of time, and I could see why. Our jails our already overcrowded. We could of course build more, but it seems our money could be going to better use.

On the other hand, almost everyone wanted to see illegal immigrants being deported faster, more often, and more efficiently, which is why that much at least was included as part of Tier 1 alongside also deporting and banning Visa holder who overstayed their visa for more than a year, and, in Tier 2, things like increasing the number/training of immigration judges.

So... given all that, do you think you'd be able to accept and or support such a thing as the PF consensus compromise despite it not including every item from your own personal proposal? Are there some Tiers in it you like more than others? Or are there some parts of your proposal which are missing from the PF consensus of which you absolutely couldn't come to an agreement without? Thanks!

Lol...The immigrants are already tougher, braver and more motivated than your typical ignorant and arrogant American suffering from affluenza.
We should exchange each trump supporter for 10 undocumented immigrants. It would instantly make America greater.

Skilled migration is the best way to go, because another country have paid for the education of this individual... only for them to move elsewhere and contribute to another society. Zero education cost, instant tax payer, if you're going to import anyone, this is who you should allow entry.

People would be surprised if they knew how much education costs for the children of impoverished undocumented immigrants.
K-12, it's about $12,000 a year per student, and then there's college, which is usually heavily subsidized.

Not accurate. According to the BLS there are 95 million people over 16 which includes everyone over 65 of which there are nearly 50 million.
    And stay at home moms.
    The infirm.
    The severely handicapped.
Those that have chosen to stay in school or are attending college full time. 8 and 20 million.
So unless you believe people should work until they die, women should not be stay at home moms (or men stay at home dads), should drop out of school at 16 and close the universities, the infirm and severely handicapped should kill themselves if able and be euthanized if not able to do it themselves then the number drops dramatically to just a few millions.

Evidently you are not aware that companies cannot find enough qualified candidates to fill positions. Instead the Trump haters are all for filling up this country with illegal immigrants where only 20% have a high school education. The failure of logic is fascinating.

Evidently you are not aware that farms and low end labor cannot find enough willing candidates to fill positions. Instead Trump lovers are all for kicking out all the eligible candidates with no plan to bring in others.

    Balance. Comprehensive.

With illegal immigration that could happen anyway. What is to stop highly skilled illegals from invading as well?

I was thinking of hot babes being allowed in. Caravans of hotties. It could be called "Hooters without Borders".

Then you should support stopping immigration, correct?

Who has been kicked out? We have more illegals than ever before and more are pouring in every day. Plus we have several legal worker visa programs. So is there an end to your support of illegal immigration? How many is enough?

Already happened. You're a bit late to the table. Check out silicon valley's long running and continuing abuse of the H!B visa system

I'm sure they could find seven million employable workers around somewhere. Why there is probably seven million capable illegal alien women with anchor babies that could work. They can stick their kids in day care like everyone else.

They look healthy enough (very healthy for refugees in fact) to work. These women have probably never worked a day in their lives. Time to earn their keep.
