Yes, the Constitution is silent and therefore Roe vs Wade is unconstitutional and should be overturned and abortion should be left to the states.

A court ruling says that a fetus has no rights and that court ruling can be overturned and should be overturned.

Abortion is a states rights issue.

Well, if you think a woman has no right to have an abortion because the fetus is a person with rights then you think it has more rights than anyone else.

NO one else can use another's body to sustain their own life(as I've posted a thousand times)

That does NOT mean, "well, I have ta work, use muh body, ta pay muh taxes"

No, what it means is that if one person needs a new heart or a liver or a blood transfusion they cannot FORCE another person to give them one.

".Why should a fetus be able to force another person to use their body to sustain the fetus's life?

If you believe a fetus can do that then you think they have special rights , more than anyone else has...

Uh,no, the fetus has no rights...look up the law...no rights,....

Have you tried READING the post you quoted?

The fetus has no right so obviously the woman's rights trump the fetuses since it doesn't have any.

Anti-Choicers not only want fetuses to have rights but have MORE rights than anyone else.

It hasn't been in 50 years....try to keep up.:)

No, it isn't. EVERY citizen of America should have the same right to their own body.

If Alabama wants to open the door to slavery, the door should be slammed in their white male faces.

forcing rape victims to have their rapists baby is a violent act

if you could prevent the rape before it happened.. would you... would you prevent a child from ever being born?

the const was silent as to whether states had any power to make abortion, or contraception, illegal in the first place. Roe said states did not, and never did.

The prohibition on abortion is forcing the victim to relive the attack. The antiabortion folks can't argue that fact away. And yes abortion prevents a zygot from it's basic 50-50 chance of becoming life. There's no "both sides can win" here. But the antiabortion folks are lying to themselves and everyone in claiming some moral highground. There is none to be had.

Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that abortion is a right.

Abortion is a states rights issue.

A new court can overrule Roe vs Wade and give the states back their power over abortion.

I was a states rights issue for the first 197 years. Try to keep up.

For the first 197 years it was a states right issue. The unborn is NOT her body. It's another body with unique DNA.

    We were discussing RvW…...

Then it should be able to be taken out of the woman and grow on it's own.

There are rights not stated specifically in the Constitution.

But bodily autonomy is a right.

Yes, the unborn is a body with it's own DNA and has "bodily autonomy" rights.

That's what abortion is. That would kill it. That's what we are trying to avoid.

YOU said, """The unborn is NOT her body. It's another body with unique DNA."""

If it's NOT HER BODY then WHY TF should she have to have it inside of her???

    If it's not hers

    WHOSE IS IT?

If it has it's own bodily autonomy then it should be able to grow on it's own, it has no need to be inside the woman..

YOU said in Post # 434 "" Birth is a natural process.""....as if humans should bow to all "natural processes".

Ummm. Because there hasn't been a court case that reached the SCOTUS to overturn it, yet.

    Try to keep up.

If the unborn is her body, then wouldn't killing it also kill the mother?

Killing the innocent unborn is morally wrong.
