The radical Democrats among us will hate Donald Trump no matter WHAT the man does. So, it follows that if he took military action against Iran for ANY reason, they'd howl and raise hell about it. If, after January 20, 2021, a newly-inaugurated Democrat president does the SAME thing, fellow Democrats will nod obediently and say nothing. Over here, it's all politics, all the time.... As far as casualties go, if we were to engage Iran on the ground, we would surely have casualties... and that would be needlessly stupid! Nobody, including myself, would support another insane, winless war on the ground in the Middle East. No, we can use non-nuclear, thermobaric weapons to bomb Iran from the air, and totally devastate the country in no more than two weeks, if we plan it out correctly. Iran might get off one or two 'lucky shots' and bring down a couple of our bombers, but that is assuming that we haven't already destroyed all their ground-to-air missile launching facilities. The biggest mistake that the delusional 'priesthood' in the Iranian government would make would be in trusting that the Russians would do something to stop America from this kind of military intervention. Ha! Would anyone in his right mind think that Vladimir Putin WANTS an Islamo-Nazi Muslim nation to come into possession of ICBM's and thermonuclear hydrogen bombs -- right on his southern border...?! These aren't the old days of the Soviet Union, and Putin is smart enough to know that he can go right on getting what he wants from Iran without having to deal with a clot of unstable, unpredictable religious fanatics. If they're all sent on their merry way to 'Islamo-heaven' that will be just fine with Vlad....

The problem is that we cannot overthrow a Muslim without the same thing coming back. The new government will be the Qur'an and Sunnah, the same as the last one, with different faces. If we can overthrow one of these countries, and Make Islam illegal, then we can hope for something different.....

That will never happen. In fact, the USG has conducted clandestine operations to undermine and overthrow every anti-Islamic government that has ever managed to take power in an Islamic nation. Israel has defeated Muslim armies and nations - it has never installed an anti-Islamic government. Any thoughts on Algeria?

Iran has not invaded any foreign country in over 200 years. On the contrary, foreign invaders under Republican Eisenhower invaded it in 1953.
CONservatives don't believe that government can solve problems. Using this same philosophy, they should say that our government cannot solve Israel's problems as well.

There is no contemporaneous record of the teachings of Muhammed. Opponents of radical Islam should attack it as heresy based entirely on unreliable sources - especially sources which date hundreds of years after Muhammed's death. I find it odd that the "West" has not bothered to launch a detailed theological attack on the credibility of radical Islam. Have you had time to read some of the Ling's Sira yet?
We do stay out of Israel. But they are our ally and the only decent government in the region so we send them help. After all thanks to the Israelis iraq never became a nuclear threat in the region. And no thanks at all to the evil French who sold Saddam the capability to begin with. One thing is clear from history, the french are not our friends.
