You are the one talking about pardons.....the current President has no need to Pardon himself. I was simply highlighting your thoughs were incorrect
I would just, once again ask you to provide me with your authority saying it doesn't. I provided the text of the Constitution, and I don't see any limiting language on the Pardon Power.
and you are also talking about it, we are talking about a guilty President having the power to Pardon himself or not
I am not...I have repeatedly stated he has no need to. I was simply talking about the power of Pardon in general.
not really..because a dictator couldn't be removed by impeachment. Our Constitution provides away to remove the President, it also provides away for the President to avoid Federal prosecution for crimes by pardoning himself. What sounds like a dictator is someone, like the Speaker of the House, claiming a political rival should be in prison, by passing Due Process.
Funny, most of America (outside of California) doesn't know she has her own problems (other than dealing with the Cheeto), so therefore wouldn't need to distract... I believe migrants stuck at the border are starting to call their temporary toilet facilities "trumpers"
Four independent investigations have been done & published regarding non-citizen voting on a federal level. All concluded the number of illegals voting was minuscule & not worth the cost & effort needed to find them. None of them changed the outcome of the election. Now you're saying one state alone--Texas--found 58,000 illegals possibly voting in one or more elections in the past 22 years. Out of that 58,000 total, 33 persons have been prosecuted by the Texas AG for voter fraud. I am skeptical of the 58,000 totals here. Republicans have a long history of exaggerating the impact of this issue on elections. As far as I know, no election outcome has ever been determined by the number of illegal votes cast--anywhere in America, anytime. I think the voter registration process probably is generally successful in catching anyone not qualified to vote in any particular district. That's not to say we shouldn't be vigilant & watchful, but until this issue proves to be a real problem, I don't think it deserves the time, money & personnel expenditures Republicans seem to want to dedicate to it.
Nancy didn't say he should be in prison... she said she wanted to see him in prison..... a truly subtle distinction that will be lost on the cons.... I didn't truly recognize how smart that was until just now....
I believe Trump will resign after he loses the election in 2020, but before the next President takes office so that his VP can Pardon him like Nixon's VP did Nixon Trump can't be indicted, many were indicted
never been tested as it woudl be admitting guilt and thus an impeachable offense that was done in an attempt to obstruct justice
all dictators can be removed if enough of the people stand up against it, republicans in the Senate I do not think woudl ever impeach this president, thus he can not be removed from office until 2020 at the ballot box
And in the White House. Trump has told his subordinates to disobey the law. That is a dictatorial act.
Trump is a dictator, just we wont let him have that control, in 2018 we made sure the checks and balances were in place and will vote him out in 2020 Trump is a failure at most things, even at being a dictator
