1. Limit immigration.
2. Punish employers with fines/imprisonment for hiring illegal aliens.

These two things alone would make an enormous difference to working class and middle class wages. Liberals oppose both (although they supported them in the past).

 

Leftist require a large public mass transportation system for the illegal aliens to serve their needs.

 

In the totalitarian state of California inflation is twice as high than the rest of the country.

The left looks at it as higher inflation means more sales tax revenues to spend on the protected groups like illegal aliens.

Which isn't saying much, since California is supposed to be liberal, but the idea the middle class "are leaving in droves" just ain't happening. If that were true, median income wouldn't be as high as it is.

 

Im sure highway traffic will clear up once only US citizens drive on it.

 

FYI, skills cannot be handed out, people need training and not all can succeed.

Again, how did FDR do it? Most of the people put to work were trained. It would be a net positive as today we are paying people, but receive nothing in return. Paying them to actually train and work benefits them and benefits society.

 

Most unhealthy foods/beverages are cheap because of tax payer subsidies. Once symptoms show up, we will subsidize the drugs that mask the symptoms so that the unhealthy habits can continue. Big food and drug companies make a lot of money, but the poor get a bad deal.

Just try an rent a U-Haul from California to Texas, Utah, Idaho, AZ, etc.... it costs a fortune. Now try to do that same search in reverse going to California and they will practically give it to you.

My cousin and best friend are moving this month, one to Idaho, the other to Alabama. They are both well off Conservatives saying, "no more". Half of my son's Jiu Jitsu friends have disappeared over the decade as their parents have moved out. They are predominately Middle Class.

You're totally full of crap if you are denying this exodus. It is happening in NY and Illinois too.

 

Lots of blacks in Chicago are killed by drive by shootings which skews the statistics, lots to them end up with diabetes, heart disease, stroke and obesity which effects around 60% of black women over 20. Good God will you defenders of black America do some research and connect the dots for once?

WHy would Liberals want people who vote for them to be independent? It goes directly against their entire strategy of convincing voters to NEED them. Can't fool voters into giving them a lot of free stuff when they don't need free stuff

 

Easy. Instead of letting kids that can't learn much after eighth grade sit in class and take up air space, send them to vocational training.
At my YMCA there is a group of kids from a tech school that come twice a week to work out. Not one of them is black because blacks think tech school for the intellectually challenged is racist. These kids in tech school will be employed soon after they graduate, and will probably be earning more money than a college educated black.

 

I-294 (Tri-State Tollway) is the only one I know of besides a 1 exit stretch of tollway on I-90 from South Beloit to the WI border. The Tri-State has been a tollway for well over 50 years since it was built. I usually avoided it.

I lived outside the city in DuPage County until after completing college. It was predominately republican (at the time) and with affluence 2nd only to Fairfax County Virginia (at the time).

Chicago and Cook County has pockets of very affluent villages and cities mostly on the north side and also very poor areas and towns mainly south and directly west of the city. It has been that way as long as I can remember.

There were parts of the city that were slums along Halstead St. and the Uptown neighborhood for example that have been transformed. The poor were displaced there. Cabrini Green Projects on Division were torn down. The area now has luxury apartments and condos.

It's the south side Lawndale and similar areas to a lesser degree where most of the violent crime takes place. It has always been that way.

Taxes in IL are progressive, like the politicians from Chicago that still run the state. It has always been that way except now that public pensions can no longer be funded and budgets can no longer be reconciled, the whole state and all of Chicago has gotten a bad reputation.

It doubt Illinois it will ever get as bad as CA where most of the state is dominated by leftist democrats but sooner or later, there will be a tax revolt.

 

As always, money talks. 1 in 3 Americans are diabetic or pre-diabetic. We are fatter and sicker than ever and neither party is doing anything about it. I feel that we just let them grow too powerful. (Food companies, drug companies, and the government)

 

When I lived in Corona, one of the most backed up roads in the country was the 91 West from McKinley in Riverside out to the OC county line. Once there you could hop on the roll road which I believe it cost $13 at peak hours just to drive 9 miles. I was crazy.

 

During FDR's time, is not comparable to today for training. I have no problem with the training for the unemployed, some states already have such programs. That said, people will still have to move to the job, which isn't cheap either.
