I'll bite. My guess is 15% of whites are racist. Blacks are most racist, perhaps they feel they have justification, but they don't. Does that make me a racist now?
I'm not trying to figure out anyone in particular that is a racist. I'm trying to figure out what is going on in the minds of those who believe the nation is racist. I'm just trying to understand the situation. I have no clue how many are racist or considered racist. I don't need proof. I want opinions. That's why I didn't answer in the last two threads. I just want to see your honest thoughts.
Very few people are actually racist. 100% of people are prejudiced. I don't bother to think about if they are prejudiced about race or other things because to me it makes no difference. Prejudices are poisonous to rational and fair thinking irregardless of what it is that you are prejudiced about.
And this hand-wringing over who is how much racist is at the crux of why a multiracial society is a failure by default, yet people keep pushing for it because the powers that be are, and not enough folks are asking questions.
I'd say the most racist demographic is Jews. Blacks at #2. Whites are basically at the bottom because they've been browbeaten out of organizing in self-interest by the former two groups.
at a guess...95%. unconscious bias would account for about a quarter of that 95% but still, its racism.
I'm not sure what unconscious bias looks like, honestly. I probably do it, then. I think the definition has changed to meet the needs of someone who is making money off of it. Yes, there is racism. As bigoted as I can be at times, I've had to tell folks I don't like what they are saying and don't want to hear it. Sometimes, they would not stop and I'd have to walk away. However, that was in words, not deeds. Now, in deeds, I don't remember the last time I saw it, except when it was done to me. I'm white, so, because I'm in the majority, it's called bigotry. For me, it felt like racism. Truly, I was told I did not have the right skin color(racist), and the government believes I am privileged(racist stereotype). So, the government is doing a complete pendulum swing in the opposite direction, in some instances. I don't really think it is right for the government to be racist. Well, I guess that's the complaint of many of color. Is it right to do that? No, but humans are really not good without something or someone guiding them.
I can't say what percentage of White people are racist but conservatives are definitely more racist than liberals. White people in America have a subculture of racism that is more prevalent than any other demographic group. America however is much less racist today than it was 60 years ago.
White people are are the least racist on planet earth. Next would probably be Africans, then Asians - who are easily the most racist. Sadly none of those who most loudly claim to be opposed to racism, ever address it in non-white groups. In effect, they practice racism.
I have found that people with little worldly knowledge and/or the most conservative to be the most racist no matter their ethnicity.
Being prejudice is not necessarily racist. We prejudge people all the time . Being racist is the belief that their race is inferior.
I've known very few in my life who truly believed that. I imagine there will always be some. In my example those in charge of programs to help folks and those implementing the same are working for the government and prejudging. In my mind, that is racist since they are basing it on the color of my skin. Persons of color would certainly have issues with being treated this way. I believe it is governmental profiling, racial stereotyping, and racist behavior sanctioned by our government.
Considering my last post, and the fact that our government is supposed to do what it's population wants within certain boundaries/laws, it could be said that racism is spreading and equally distributed.
You don’t have to meet people who are racists. Just look at the white supremacist groups that are popping up all over the country. Maybe you don’t know them but you know what they represent Just curious do you think white males who were given special privileges that would deny to blacks and women and was sanctioned by the government felt bad about it? I guess white affirmative action was OK but leveling the playing field isn’t
