Did you miss the witness testifying he came in the store and announced there was an altercation outside the clerk might want to deal with? That and the continuing harassment was all McGlockton legally needed for the shove.

I mean, you can. You don't have to, but you can. I already have, more than once, see use of force in defense of others from crimes against their person. Like harassment or assault.

I do indeed think you should take legal advice before you end up in prison.

Except, AGAIN, that's not what I said.

Even in a nation filled with busy bodies Drejka was clearly an unusually obnoxious jerk.

    It was a mutual disagreement.

So what's your point? If another citizen pointed out to you you did it you would physically assault them?

    What an inane statement.

Don't coldcock or physically assault them or anyone simply because you broke the law and they are pointing it out.

No, saying someone is arguing with your wife, who is arguing right back by the way, gives you carte blanche to physically assault someone.

I don't even know why you're trying this, it's ridiculous.

Who is the person who gets arrested in domestic violence cases? The one who assaults the other physically.

Who is the person who gets arrested in protests? The one who assaults the other physically.

Meanwhile, your "victim" was both inside a vehicle where he couldn't, and didn't even try, to get to her AND she got out of the vehicle.

You have no case here justifying a physical assault.

Then of course, you ignore the physical assault as being grounds for using a firearm to defend yourself, which compounds your problems with logic.

Self defense depends on how the threat is perceived by the individual asserting his right to self defense. I think McGlockton stayed close to see if Drejka would lower the gun to get up off the pavement.

Daniel Shaver, who posed no threat at all, was legally shot 5 times because the police officer was convinced he posed a deadly threat.

"I was in imminent danger from a guy standing 5 feet away saying loud things and pointing at parking spaces, while ensconced in a 2 ton object made of metal and plastic that allowed me to leave at 60 mph anytime I wanted".

"I was so scared for my life I kept arguing with him then got out of the car to watch my BF kick his ass".

Give me a break with your ridiculous theories.

Yeah, he sure decided to extricate himself after he got shot huh.

Trevena says that isn’t what he asked. Was he threatening?

“He was being intimidating,” Conrad says.

But you never heard him make any verbal threatening statements? No, she says.

You either 1. raise your hands and say "don't shoot" or 2. you run away saying "don't shoot".

If the guy pulling the gun is someone you just knocked on his butt I think #2 would be the way to go.

A "please" and "thank you" would also be appropriate.

Correct, he kept angling for position to disarm Drejka when he tried to push himself off the pavement.

That happened to me once. They kept screaming "Ilikesnackbars" or something and started shooting at us.

All good ideas for real reform, and reform is inevitable now. The law enforcement community should try to get ahead of it.

Look at the image again and see how much distance everyone else managed put between themselves and the shooter before the gun was shot.

Then you may want to rephrase your post so that it relates directly and specifically to something I have posted.

LOL! Anytime I make the mistake of battering an obnoxious jackass with a gun to the pavement I would expect to get shot - and run like hell.

    What would you do?

A well armed citizenry does not need much policing.
Bobbies were able to perform their duties unarmed before the gun ban.

The does frequently hang around to give the bucks a chance to escape from a predator.
Does are not as smart as human females.

Deer and Antifa are a lot alike. Both send in the women first, and most of them in a group are, or were, women.

Production of a gun is frequently not enough to stop a violent thug. Drejka on the pavement and close to his attacker was still in danger of another attack.

I brought this point up earlier.

If it were, police would never fire a shot.

I went with a few of my Red friends (many communists actually like to interact with people who have actually read Marx et al) to counter a neo-Nazi demonstration. A group of Muslim men showed up to confront the Reds for reasons that were not clear to me.

The women were called up front to aggressively confront the Muslim men who withdrew immediately. Eventually the neo-Nazis got the crap knocked out of them and were arrested.

When it was over I asked a cop at the scene why they arrested the Nazis since they were completely unable to defend themselves. He said "we usually arrest the losers - satisfies everyone and ends the disturbance". Have never forgotten that little bit of shared wisdom.
