Too bad for them. The Constitution overrules what they want.

All I did was state straightforward facts. The idea that the Supreme Court is going to reject reality is rather silly.

    What victories are these?

And even if there are Democratic victories, how is that going to prevent the Supreme Court from upholding the Constitution?

Or prevent the NRA from blocking gun control from passing Congress?

    No, actually. It does not.

There is no Constitutional prohibition of government's reasonable regulation of any of the rights therein acknowledged. No right is absolute.

Public safety is not sacrificed to any special interest.

This isn't about reasonable regulations or public safety though. These people are demanding to violate people's civil liberties for no reason.

    So the Constitution overrules them.

If someone is determined to kill, and does not care if they will be caught after the fact, it is usually impossible to stop them from killing.

No, the Constitution overrules anyone trying to institute reasonable regulations and public safety, which this is about.

I have no idea who your "these people" may be. Please identify them specifically.

"Them"? The clear majority of Americans to whom I refer demand sensible regulation to confront the horrific level of firearm fatalities in the US that in no way infringes upon the Constitution.

you got the freaking NRA lobbying against this, buddy. They would have taken it to court if they thought it was unconstitutionally.

Norms and values shift in the course of time. We also used to have slavery. People by far want to end these backward idea's of having massive weapons to protect your life as if there is such a need now as in them days of the wild west.

The interest of the people is not to be the victim of a mass shooting, and so the government has an interest.

    Doubt
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assault_weapon

Soldiers also can shoot with a tank. It still is that civilians are able to shoot with a semi, just like a soldier is trained to rage war. And so it happens that civilians rage a war against other civilians.

Same argument flies to semi auto assault weapons. The fast majority of the people had enough of this.

Preventing mass murder is a good reason.

What does political influence have to do with standing to bring a lawsuit?
