Most of the work force in the oil business in KSA has always been Saudi nationals. Still is.

Iran is being choked by the U.S. sanctions put on Iran unjustifiably and they are hurting their economy. They have no recourse, Trump doesn't want to make a deal with Iran, he wants Iran destroyed. Period.

I know.. Iran was in compliance.. Trump is extremely stupid. Now they are saying the drones came from the North West. Abqaiq is 37 miles South West of Dhahran.

    You are correct.

The USA is raising FALSE FLAGS because certain snake oil selling war profit seekers know such a conflict would bring them a great deal of money.

The deal to make with Iran is to stop their support of HAMAS, Hezbollah and the Houthis.

Does Trump forget what he said live on camera about 'no pre-conditions'? Um....,there's video, ya know? Not only that, but he's been filmed saying this at least 7 different times. Trump uses the term "fake news" to cover up his lies.

The USA needs to mind its own godd@mn business and to stay the hell out of that region. That will bring about peace.

Looks like it's getting closer. Are you still going to post here after it's over or are you going to hold a grudge?

Bombs don't know the difference. We have seen a steady escalation of adventure from the Iranians and sooner or later there will have to be intervention or capitulation. If we are truly willing to get involved militarily it is dangerous to have allowed them to keep prodding.

Well, I'm stumped. Iran has needed nuclear power to expand their electrical grid since Eisenhower's Atoms for Peace deal. This is NOT the way to get what they want.

What Iran needs may not be the same thing as what the ruling religious leaders need.

I see Iran as refusing to capitulate to Washington. They should stop their threats towards Israel though, because Netanyahu is not that stable and we might end up in WWIII.

Probably not that easy. You underestimate the skill of Iranian engineers, but,, of course it is far easier for any enemy to reverse engineer American military technology when .American corporations and our military give those enemies access to the finished product.

I was following the Arab newspapers and talking with a couple of editors I know in KSA.

    This will probably interest you.

Cheney: When King Fahd said that he was prepared to accept our proposition, I was pleased, obviously. That was something that was very important to achieve but, secondly, I also had a sense that this particular decision then triggered a whole sequence of pretty momentous events.

America's 'best and brightest' ME 'experts' have been focusing on preventing the creation of the "Persian Crescent" in the midst of Sunni Islam. Google: Bolton and "Persian Crescent" for chapter and verse.

Why this should be a high priority for our elite political class eludes me. Graham would probably point out that the Iranian leaders are obnoxious and anti-American, but the US usually manages to avoid going to war with regimes like that. Right now - I would not like to be working on Kharg Island.

Iran and their supporters keep talking like the provocation is trying their patience and that their suffering is the only thing preventing a global conflagration. Truth is they should stop provoking because if it comes down to the US getting fed up the only conflagration will be in Iran and Iran will suffer it alone. Shipping in the Straits is their only hostage but shipping lanes can be cleared after the bombs stop falling.

Regional hegemony would be my guess. That and the end of Israel if we take them at their word.
