And yet the numbers for support continues to go up amongst all three political groups.

I haven't seen any Trump messaging, but I've heard the same story Schiff is peddling during every news break on the radio, on the evening news and I'm sure late night talk show, morning news shows and all the liberal rags are also pushing it. Don't try to pretend the overwhelmingly negative news (93%) put out by the media (almost all donate to democrats) are equal to some facebook ads. If Democrats didn’t have the media pushing their narrative the impeachment effort would have already failed.

 

If Trump had not committed an impeachable offense, the impeachment effort would not have started.

And the reason why you see the "same story Schiff is peddling" get broadcast by every news break, evening news, late night talk show, and morning news show is because Schiff is telling the truth.

An update to the polling:




When compared to the last update that I made from six days ago, we can see that support for impeachment, overall, has remained little changed (up by 0.3%), although opposition against impeachment has ticked up by 1.6%. The breakdown of the parties provide a further illustration of why that is the case. Support for impeachment has increased amongst Democrats and Independents (3.4% and 0.8% respectively), but support for impeachment amongst Republicans has reverted back to the mean (down by 2.7%).

I still believe the crucial number to watch is the independents. If support for independents reaches over 50%, then more Republicans - or at least the elected Republicans - will follow suit fairly rapidly.
