What evidence? True science is evidence based. Scroll down on this to see Why CO2 theory fails. http://weatheraction.com/
Your "experts" fail to produce any evidence based science. They are politically motivated. Do the honest research and look at both sides of the story.
And you are posting gibberish. You aren't qualified to do the research. That you think you are is the biggest problem. Would you perform brain surgery based your Holiday Inn expertise as well? Tell you what, you go out and perform a successful surgery on a heart patient based on your internet knowledge, and then you can be climate expert too.
Carbon cannot threaten our existence. We are after all a carbon based species. Ever hear of carbohydrates. How about those fizzy drinks that you like? Much of the food that you eat is carbohydrates. Everything on Earth is carbon based. You're telling me that .04% of carbon in the atmosphere is a threat?
What does brain surgery or heart surgery have to do with the climate? Do you want to have surgery of any kind by a climatologist?
This guy is the brother of a UK MP. He is not a scientist. He was an unpaid political campaign organizer for seven years. He ran for office on housing issues. He ran weatheraction (which he owns) as a site where one could bet on weather predictions. Giing this site credibility is just plain RIDICULOUS. You need to look at science and accept the evidence that has been gathered by scientists around the world. In specific, his 3 "facts" about CO2 have been multiply refuted. If you want to try to defend any of those, go for it!
?? Nobody is promoting the idea that humans will be made extinct. And, I've NEVER heard ANYONE suggest humans could be threatened by too much exposure to carbon in our environment!!! Where the heck did you get THAT? The impact of warming has to do with agriculture, rising seas and national security.
Time is telling right now. Look at the city of Miami Beach. Look at what's happening in Bangladesh. Note that an exceptionally long drought was a serious factor in the war in Syria, driving people to leave farms and go to cities, where the government was incapable of solving the prolem - exacerbating political problems and driing people to become refugees. Look at our own midwest. Look at Australia, where heat is an increasingly serious problem, causing roads to melt. Look at the efforts on the South Pacific to get people (in fact, whole governments) off of islands that are being flooded by rising seas. We need to be listening to science on this issue. Then, we can work out what we should do about it.
ARDY can be "interesting". There are no proposals as to why seas are rising??? "We" can not understand the mechanism of change, but "we" know to 100% certainty that human activity has "no impact on anything"? Who is this "we"? Wasn't it science that told him that climate has been changing throughout Earth's history? Does he think scinetists then forgot that?
Apparently you didn't notice the record breaking cold winter and heavy snow and you haven't noticed this years early snow. Have you noticed the floods that kept many farmers from planting their crops. Did you ever consider that Miami Beach may be Sinking?
Possibly... the taxpayers of Alberta, Canada if President Trump were to ask them to do so..........????? No kidding.... this can get really, really, really, really serious: Proposed Republic of Western Canada and Unified Field Theory of M.W.P. you may wish to jump to page three..... post #52 for more information on how and why that might possibly come to pass??????
And, you didn't notice the melting roads in Australia - or even other areas in the US!!! This thread is about world wide temperature - NOT local seasonal weather. Local measurements such as what you are witnessing do NOT suggest change in the average temperature of Earth. If Earth were to get colder, it would come from less heat arriving on Earth from the sun or more heat escaping Earth into space. Those factors are being measured as is the average surface temperature of Earth as a whole. More than one methods are used, and these measurements concur. Climate change is NOT going to affect each place on Earth in the same way. For example, if additional warmth causes the Atlantic current to slow or stop (which is considered possible), heat from low latitudes in the wil not be moved north up our coastline by that current. The result will be increasing cold in our Northeast and Northern Europe. Temperature change in one area can actually be responsible for opposite changes in other areas. And, yes. Scientists do measure whether local shoreline effects have to do with sinking land or rising water. For example, New Orleans is experiencing our fastest sea encroachment. That is coming from rising sea level and land sinking from compaction of the delta soils, extraction of fresh water and extraction of oil.
I have see asphalt melt at much lower temperatures when I was growing up in the Milwaukee area. Did you kow the Sun is cooling. Yes, it is at a grand minimum. The question is, will it be a 30 year minimum or a 400 year minimum? So sea level is rising in New Orleans? Strange I haven't heard anyone living in Gulf front homes complaining about it, nor the Marina owners remarking that they have to build new docks on account of rising water levels. Maybe there is something about New Orleans that is attracting the water?
You know about solar cycles because SCIENTISTS measure that stuff - NOT because you saw snow in your yard. And, scientists are not ignoring the Sun, as it is by far the primary heat source for the planet. The problem is that human activity is causing Earth to be a more efficient collector of solar heat.
You are referencing WEATHER when everyone else is talking about CLIMATE. You are referencing local areas when the topic is about ALL of Earth...
Local climate is an average of local weather over long periods of time. One can talk about the Florida climate or the New England climate or the west coast climate, etc. It involves temperature and moisture patterns for the various seasons. The issue with climate change has to do with the fact that Earth as a whole is warming - thus changing patterns of heat and precipitation, changing sea level, changes in agriculture, changes in extreme weather events. Heat isn't spread evenly throughout the world. So, the impact on any one area may not be the same as for other areas.
So you want to pay the tax? Why don't you just donate 50% of your pay check just to show that your are serious?
Of course...but what you might see in Michigan has nothing to do with Texas or with China on any given day. However, if you record the weather every day in Michigan, over a longer period of time, like one year, this is climate. Global climate change will effect all areas in different ways with hot and dry areas becoming hotter and dryer and cold and wet areas becoming colder and wetter. Ocean warming for example will create more energy thereby making storms more powerful thereby raining more in storm effected areas. The complexity of global climate change is way beyond my pay grade! But I do have faith in the scientific community...
