How many back flips did conservatives and Trump do when Bin Laden was killed? The Kurds are the ones whose intelligence led the U.S. to the exact location of Baghdadi. I'm not sure how much intelligence they'll be providing to the U.S. going forward.

I'd heard on the news tonight that one of the key intelligence sources was that the Turks had a source at the compound. It sort of puts into perspective Trump's kid gloves with the Turks.

I don't read much of WaPo. I mostly read the New York Times, and they are very much anti-Trump. Their left-wing ideology escapes the Editorial Board and permeates into the so-called journalistic side of it, which is nothing more than liberalism masquerading as top-shelf journalism. Look at the discrepancy between the headlines and the article; look at the stories they choose to cover and not; look at how the articles are written, where a glimmer of the truth is in the middle of the story, sandwiched between misinformation and disinformation, instead of in the headline. Speaking of their absurd headlines, how about when one of their headlines (the "Unity Vs. Racism" one) was actually truthful, and the left-wing mob emerged from their safe spaces, demanding it be changed, and the New York Times changed it? My friend, it's not me here in this discussion who is naive. No, no, but you've clearly illustrated who is.

Probably, but I am entirely cynical about it all. Trump needed a release valve and this one will provide for a temporary fix. But....nothing seems ever to stack up when Donald is involved.

The raid occurred at 3.30 pm Washington time. The photo in the Situation Room is alleged to have been taken TWO HOURS later. Maybe he was actually playing golf as some have asserted.

CNN, NYT, WASH POST, ABC, CBS, NBS..., WSJ, NPR, ...
FOX and MSNBC are both opinionators not mainly news. Fox with Shaun 'Vannity' Hannity and Carlson and Ingraham are nothing but unabashed propagandists ( Geobelists) for Trump. MSNBC are on the other hand critics of Trump with Rachel Madcow, Chris Matthews, and to some degree Lawrence O'Donnel are unabashed critics of the Trump.
Bottom line is that Fox is no more fair nor balanced than MCNBC.

 

Before you call someone else naive go and try to find anywhere in my post where I claimed the Wash Post to be "pro-Trump". You want pro Trump then watch only Fox.

You can make accusations that the Times is left wing in reporting but accusations that are not supported by facts are just that that- accusations. You can as you did make accusations that the Times spouts misinformation and disinformation but without proof you are still just whisteling Dixie.

What are you talking about a "changed" headline?? Do you have proof that they changed a headline. What is this fantasy with some left wing" mob" emerging ? BTW how does a newspaper change a printed headline! Did they send Special Forces Editors out with spray cans of White Out and portable printers? There has to be something missing or your story is somehow distorted or warped or you misunderstood something.

 

I was reading the New York Times' comment section for the article about this, and I was looking over the highlighted comments (the comments that the editors choose from all of them to showcase). One of the comments was a criticism of Trump's indelicateness, his boasting, of this terrorist's death. And it's that type of dialogic pussyfooting, which was exemplified by the Obama administration, and that the left adores, that makes America look weak. These savages burn people alive, drown them in cages, strap bombs around necks, and slowly behead people, not to mention the other horrendous things that they do. I don't think you can make such monsters more angry. I'm pretty sure they're at their apex. Trump is belittling them, not mincing words. And that is why I am proud to call him my president!

As you note warS plural it hasn't been one war. By 2011 al Qaeda was all but gone and we were at war with ISIS. But the war with Iraq didn't end just because Saddam was captured, his forces surrendered and there were no further hostilities with the government of Iraq whom we we fought. UBL then decided to move the main front of his war against us to Iraq and that war started. That was a huge blunder on his part as he had the strategic advantage in Afghanistan. His forces were ultimately defeated in Iraq.

 

Baghdadi and al-Muhajir (who it's said would be Baghdadi's likely successor) both GONE within the space of 24 hours! This is a really good thing. No, it's a great thing!

Who cares when, or if, Trump plays golf. Anything that hinders these disgusting individuals is a great achievement. Baghdadi founded ISIS, he formed the caliphate and he is their inspirational leader. This will certainly set them back and for that we should all be grateful instead of nit picking selective and irrelevant nonsense in the hope of laying a blow on Trump.
