You Leftists approved Secret Soviet style meetings and are now butt hurt when no one takes what comes out of them seriously?

Sorry. You Lefties made your own bed of corruption. Sleep in it.

Roosevelt and Wilson (both democrats) had personal ambassadors. Roosevelt had Harry Hopkins who lived at the White House for a time and Wilson had Colonel House who was at the Versaille Peace Conference.

Some presidents simply don't trust their own state departments.

    I wonder why?

--said the guy who hasn't read the Mueller Report, yet thinks it's OK to reach conclusions about it. The conclusions being directed by al-right sources, of course, rendering your post quite ironic.

Nothing leads me to believe that you'll read the depositions, either.

You have a source for either of those historical precedents? Also, any idea whether they had official positions within the White House or passed security clearance?

He has done several things wrong. I wish there was a better choice, but so far, he is the lesser of evils.

He said he wasn't getting pressure, It's a perfectly good answer for those who want to see it, though maybe not for those who want a different answer.

A majority of the country is taking these depositions and the public testimony which comes next very seriously.

Did the Mueller team have official positions in the WH or pass security clearances?

There are people who want to read that statement as "no abuse of power."

A booming economy with the lowest unemployment is 50 years.
    Rising wages
Record highs on the stock market (My IRA says thank you)
Energy independence which means we could pull out of the Mideast and knock the Russian economy off again.
ISIS Caliphate smashed and hiding under rocks (except for Bad Daddy)
    Starting the wall
    Dropping Welfare rolls..

Perhaps not perfect but a very high batting average.

I wonder what the next four years will bring?

Are you denying there are news reports to that effect?

Former ambassador to Ukraine who badmouthed Trump set to testify Friday in impeachment inquiry
    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...-set-to-testify-friday-in-impeachment-inquiry

    "
Mr. Giuliani told the Journal that when he mentioned the ambassador to the president this spring, Mr. Trump “remembered he had a problem with her earlier and thought she had been dismissed.” Mr. Giuliani said he subsequently received a call from a White House official—whom he declined to identify—asking him to list his concerns about the ambassador again.

Mr. Giuliani said he gave Mr. Pompeo a nine-page document dated March 28 that included a detailed timeline of the Bidens’ dealings in Ukraine and allegations of impropriety against Ms. Yovanovitch, including that she was “very close” to Mr. Biden."
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...er-complaints-from-giuliani-others/ar-AAIfAF6

Presidents have plenary power to choose whomever they want to be an ambassador and dismiss any in which they have lost confidence. The woman has no claim to the position and if she didn't like be dismissed she can pound sand.

And you might need to get some better news sources since you were not aware of this.

It's going to get better... I was wondering if they'd go Sondland/Taylor or vice versa... he chose to release Sondland first... Then Taylor (and Morrison) confirm that Sondland "lacked candor"...

I always notice that whenever someone tries to make one of these lame "trump accomplishment" lists, roughly half of the list is just different aspects of a "good economy."

IMO, (and this doesn't take a genius to see) the Dems score big in the early rounds. With "information flow" control, they let out what they think are the most damaging aspects of this procedure. All the media, well, most of the media, will approve and deride Trump as the worst thing since Stalin. Trump's ratings will drop. The "squad's" popularity will rise, and the sharks will smell blood.

In the later rounds, Trump rallies as the Senate puts an end to this "Witch Hunt 2.0". Middle Americans rise up and judge the Dems as overreaching. (fueled by rampant hatred). Aside: Isn't that what they so falsely accuse conservatives of? The Donald's ratings rise.

Who know's what the final rounds will hold. Warren seemingly in control right now despite her $50 trillion bombshell. Buttagig (excuse spelling) still battling. Think he scored points by not mandating everyone to Medicare. Bernie has the "Squad" behind him, who, in some circles are very popular. (I pray for the economy should this crew ever attain power).

The Donald and Middle America will be ready come election time. Wouldn't doubt if he, despite being endlessly besieged, pulls it off again.

They love their "wall o' words". They think they can just say random things and it'll mean something.
