I think America is supportive of the impeachment inquiry and that threatening the whistleblower or his attorney does not help your side.

Just to be clear here U.S. Code § 1512, 18 U.S.C. §1505,18 U.S.C. §1513 do not provide for an exemption based on the perceived honesty, or sincerity of the victim. I am trying to think of any criminal statutes where the integrity of the victim is referenced as a defense. The WB can be a democratic operative who passes out Anti Trump pamphlets at La Guardia, and have convictions of perjury, rape and arson, and yet he is protected within the scope every single statute cited in the OP.

Congress normally does not write these statutes so that only the guys that Trumpsters like and trust, are allowed to file a complaint and pursue criminal or civil redress.

Watching this “pajama boy” coup is like watching a train crash in slow motion.

Absolutely. I agree with you 100% on that. You are entitled to your own opinion.

However, you are not entitled to your own facts.

This OP is based upon facts. What Trump has done is FACT. The cease and desist letter is FACT. The fact that this President is so severely lacking in every conceivable area that such a letter to the ****ing PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is a FACT.

Facts trump Trumpism every day of the week.

No. Law is law. Offenses are offenses. And penalties are penalties. This is why we have US Code to begin with.

There was once a time when Conservatives actually believed in the rule of law. Sadly, those days are long gone.

Yeah... Weird. Why would anyone vote for a successful business man that is not a politician and vowed to drain the political swamp...

Some of you prefer the status quo. Some of us where done electing politicians. Simple as that.

The FBI investigated the threat and determined it was not credible, the report said. The FBI declined to comment when reached by The Washington Times.

Ahem.. Lawyers should read past the headline. Or should i just refer to you as Mr Zaid from here on out?

The threat not being credible is a far cry from the threat didn't happen, agreed?

You let me know when Trump faces a proceeding where he can lose his job, or his liberty, and I'll let you know when he is entitled to the Due Process rights you want him to have.

The threat was not credible that could mean many things including it was staged specially considering the law firms cease and desist agreed?

doen't mater if he is a republican or a democrat, even Trump's own people have confirmed what he witnessed and reported is true

if I don't like someone and see them rob a bank and report it, doesn't matter one bit if I liked them or not, it's their actions that caused me to report them

And everyone has an opinion as to what constitutes a violation. Are you new to how this works? Lawyers write letters and responses all the time, with their opinions as to what codes were or were not violated

Trump won't listen to Cipollone. Trump doesn't listen to anyone. I don't know how anyone can be a patriot, ridicule education and be dumb as a stump.

    I like this letter better.

This lawyer is going to need his own lawyer soon enough.
