Exclusive: Giuliani associate willing to tell Congress Nunes met with ex-Ukrainian official to get dirt on Biden

(CNN)A lawyer for an indicted associate of Rudy Giuliani told CNN that his client is willing to tell Congress about meetings the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee had in Vienna last year with a former Ukrainian prosecutor to discuss digging up dirt on Joe Biden.

The attorney, Joseph A. Bondy, represents Lev Parnas, the recently indicted Soviet-born American who worked with Giuliani to push claims of Democratic corruption in Ukraine. Bondy said that Parnas was told directly by the former Ukrainian official that he met last year in Vienna with Rep. Devin Nunes.
"Mr. Parnas learned from former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Victor Shokin that Nunes had met with Shokin in Vienna last December," said Bondy.

Shokin was ousted from his position in 2016 after pressure from Western leaders, including then-vice president Biden, over concerns that Shokin was not pursuing corruption cases.

Trump is not being impeached for not releasing them within the time limit (he would not have been able to release them outside the time limit anyway). He's being impeached for extortion and bribery.

The sooner Republicans understand what this is about, the better chance they may have of finding some way to bail Trump out. If such a way exists, that is.

 

He is being investigated by those claiming impeachment since 2016. For the left, “we don need no stinking evidence!”

The sooner democrats understand what this is about, the better chance they have of recovering their credibility.

The delay had no effect on the ability of Ukraine to defend itself from Russian aggression. The funding was for contracts and according to the Schiff Show witness Laura Cooper who is the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russian, Ukrainian and Eurasian affairs the delay in approving the funding will have no effect on the schedule for delivering the lethal aid. Trump held up the aid to investigate Ukrainian corruption and to make sure our other friends in Europe were contributing to the defense of the Ukraine.

 

Those requirements pertained only to Ukrainian defense administration according to Laura Cooper, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russian, Ukrainian and Eurasian affairs.

 

The Republocans never did any thing within a million miles of a Soviet-style impeachment. They strictly followed due process rules and were joined by some Democrats in the impeachment (and some Republicans voted against impeachment.) Quit blowing smoke.

Those were the requirements. Helping Trump find dirt on Biden was not a requirement. Not a legal requirement, in any case.

 

He already has more than enough with the tape showing Biden bragging about bribing Ukraine. Investigating Burisma, one of the most corrupt companies in one of the most corrupt countries is entirely justified.

 

People who have a desire to dominate their fellow man love democracy. Two wolves. One sheep. Do the maths.

 

It occurs to me that House ethics committee might know the rules and the possible violations a bit better than you do. Nunes does not get a pass because he is Trump's pitbull.

 

True, he most certainly does not get a pass because he supports Trump. He does get a target pasted on his back though.

 

In other words you want him to get a pass to prove he does not have target. Otherwise you would support an inquiry based on the House rules and potential violoations that you don't know , by the ethics committee of every complaint lodged regardless of who's pitbull he is. .

 

The Democrats have politicized impeachment and now ethics. What’s next, green beans ???
