    Obviously there WAS a nexus...

And, just as OBVIOUSLY, Trump clearly released the aid to cover his tracks (as the timing bears out)...:salute:

John Bolton was fired/quit on September 10, the day before the aid was released. The testimony of the witnesses had Bolton telling everyone to talk to the lawyers before hand. It seems to me Boltons firing is somehow mixed up in this.

My point was that if Trump learned of the WB in August, but the aid wasn't released until 9/11, then it shows there was likely no connection between the WB and the release.

    That ISN'T the point.

Trump DIDN'T Become "AWARE" of Congress being notified of the WB Report until shortly before the aid was released...

    Get it now?

The suspect "timing" had to do with Trump's Awareness of Congressional Notification of the WB Report.

Good point... it's not a part of this thread, but it makes sense that Bolton leaving might be tied to the extortion...

Guess who can clear that up for good??

I'm a little disappointed Bolton didn't respond to the judges ruling on the McGahn situation... she was clear in her ruling that the persons job in the WH doesn't matter..

That's been my stance since day 1.... early on, the DOJ thought they could keep the WB report from Congress, and I'm sure they told Trump that too, so no huge worries at that point.... But when he gets the letter from Schiff, it's pretty much over... everybody knows the D's get things last...

On it, chief... although I cannot say I'm looking forward to Nadler's first hearing next Wednesday.... Constitutional scholars and impeachment experts??

Yawn.... although it might be fun if they get Ken Starr... he hasn't been super positive after Sondland testified...

Your point gets made much, much weaker though if when Trump initially learned about the WB complaint, he was also told that no one else knew and that it was possible no one would ever learn about the WB complaint.

After Congress is notified about its existence, two days before he released the aid, then the story is out.

"Nothing" except - at a minimum - a Removal Trial in the Senate, the first ever for a first term President.

Trump needs to constantly update his reasoning almost every other day due to the facts getting in the way of his explanations. For once it would be nice if he would be forthright. Again he would not do well on the witness stand.
