Were the numbers reported at the same time? Month to month, things change. An organization the size of Trumps, things like that would be handled by CPAs.

They were in the same reporting period according to the report and most likely were averaged over twelve months. CPA’s operate under the direction of the client — most will not blatantly lie as the liability would be theirs. However, if two separate books were kept and different accounting firms were used (or internal accountants for that matter) the information would fall back on trump.

For one illegal profit from office and abuse of power does not fall under the emoluments clause. The emoluments is supposed to prohibit officials from serious bribery from the heads or high ranking officials of foreign countries with the intent of gaining influence in running the government. For instance it does not cover foreigners staying at Trump's hotels or leasing space in Trump towers or playing his golf courses even if they are presidents and kings ("princes" in the Constitution). There are also questions whether the president and vice president are even covered though it has generally been accepted as such, just never been tested.

Do you feel a president should be allowed to profit from his office?

That could very well be -- sounds reasonable. Except it does not answer how the information was obtained through a FISA request which wouldn't cover any of it.

We have been through this near exact claim on a previous Trump Business. It turned out that his accountants had simply applied IRS laws to the taxation, Lending laws to his financial applications, and there were no "two sets of books", just different ways by law of calculating depending on the function. But, we had MSM liars and Leftists wanting to believe the "Two Sets of Books" false narrative. Is this the same thing?

Taxes have nothing to do with occupancy rate or company valuation

I don't know. It all depends on the degree and context. The Obamas and the Clintons profited humongously from being president. (And that doesn't even count the china and silverware Hillary stole when they left the white house. ) On the other hand Trump is probably losing millions every year he is president.

They really wouldn’t need a FISA request to get any of the information, it is all public record. (In my state at least)

The poster said the information was obtained through a FISA request and made a big deal out of it. Maybe they were just blowing smoke, I don't know. In any case I do not see how one can get information about someone else's banking information and taxes.

Fine by me. Are you not bothered about the $200 to $300 million the Clintons picked up since leaving the white house, or would just as soon not talk about it?

I do not care what money they earn once they leave office, especially if it is off speaking arrangements or book deals — I do think they (along with all lawmakers) should be barred from lobbying for a period of time though.

I have an issue with the profiting off of the office. Like trump is doing by steering public funds to his privately owned properties.

    I have already explained how.
    It is public record.

Maybe but more likely he will have ante up some money if an audit shows it to be true. The issue for his enemies will be proving the value of the property. As a survivor of three audits that resulted in no additional taxes due, I can assure you that the IRS is not always right.

True or not true, nobody cares.

Trump will be re-elected in 2020 and the same people who pointed this out will still be defending Hillary for destroying servers that
    Contained classified emails.

    Nothing but partisan politics.

No. If he has two sets of books then the IRS will audit that. I assume his company is under constant audit. I once worked for a fortune 500 company. The accounting department had permanent offices for the IRS agents that went to work there every day.

Plenty of people care, your first statement is false
When Hillary’s staff requested the servers wiped the material was not yet classified, your second statement is mostly false

    Wiped ?
You mean destroyed - hammers & bleach
It is not a surprise you don’t have a problem with her actions.

Let me guess..... you don’t have a problem with Hunter Biden collecting millions in Ukraine?
