The property tax information is public information. When Trump constantly tries to lower the property's assessment for tax purposes while stating inflated worth for loans, that is fraud.

They are now interviewing a 103 year old former NY City public librarian on a overdue book Trump had in 1964.

The 20 cents over due fee may not have been recorded properly.

Trump, his family, and his company are gaining personally from decisions he has made in office & just being the President. Saudis rent blocks of rooms in his hotels and don't show up. They buy properties at inflated prices. They rent his facilities for functions. He used the One China policy to get trademarks in China. If Trump is losing money it is because people now see what an idiot the man really is.

And really, the Clintons stole from the White House BS?

    Obama wrote books.

I do not know what you are referring to, the report I read said that they had ordered the servers wiped that contained her personal emails prior to them being subject to subpoena, the tech failed to do so — after they were subpoenaed the tech had an “oh ****” moment and deleted them anyway. If you have a source for what you are discussing I would very much like to read it.

As I have read them, no.
Numerous Republican investigations have also found nothing wrong with her actions.

If he or his father did something illegal I am fine with them going to prison.

Please do not act like you know my positions on anything, I don’t believe you have the depth much less the integrity to do so.

I disagree, we need to root out fraud and tax evasion at all levels — start with the top — trickle down economics.

That is two different accounting methods — true.
I do not see how that would alter occupancy rates for similar periods though.
Most companies use one or the other but it is possible, I don’t really have an answer but it is possible as I do not know the specific regulations.

It does look like that would have been the trump organization’s response however if that was the case.

This entire thread is wildly :roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol:.

It's hard to believe that so many alleged adults know so little about business. W.O.W.

    1. It's FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) not FISA, and FOIA applies only to gov't
    & sometimes quasi-gov't entities.
There are strict laws (Dodd-Frank) that prohibit limited releases of business info of
publicly held businesses. Privately held businesses don't have to say boo without a
Court ordered warrant, or a subpoena duces tecum.

    2. No bank, or taxing authority gives a rats ass about occupancy rates. They care about
two things - gross income, and EBITDA. I own lotsa income producing real estate. Trust me.

    3. Trump has managers, tax lawyers, & CPA's to keep track of his investments. The likelihood that that many
peeps would conspire to keep 2 sets of books is nonsense.

    4. It is not a crime to argue different
valuations of property to different entities. After all, the gov't does their own appraisals as do lenders.
BTW, a YUGE portion of Trump's income is from royalties in licencing him name. While he owns a lot
of real estate he doesn't own as many properties as people think - he's licensed his name to it.

    5. The Emoluments Clause has never applied to any business owned prior to holding a
gov't position. Many a president has owned a business & profited from it while holding office, and
according to many constitutional scholars the clause may not even apply to the pres. or vp.

    6. While technically correct that Congress can impeach for one's actions prior to holding
a gov't office there is precedent in the impeachment of VP Colfax that the House Judiciary
Committee concluded that impeachment should only be considered in actions while holding
    office.

I rate this "news story" as fake.

If you don't "agree" with any of the above, too bad for you. This post is for informational purposes which
is sorely lacking on these forums.

I think using federal funds to bribe a foreign leader for political gain is more of a sneeze.

Well, Mr Business Expert, it is fraud to lie about property evaluations.

It is fraud to present false P/L sheets to banks to get loans. This would include occupancy rates.

It is fraud to seek investors for buildings by lying about how many units have been sold.

Trump is & has always been a crook.

When you apply for a loan, you sign that all information is true. So you are saying this is meaningless?

Hardly any assessment value matches the true value. People try to lower their assessment value all the time and it is not related to any market assessment by the individual or even an appraiser. Do you know any bank that ever looked at the assessed value when looking at a potential mortgage?
