Because the red states have appointed state judges that don't always follow the federal Constitution in their rulings.

Furthermore if a state law violates the federal Constitution it can be challenged in the federal courts because no state has the power to violate any of the rights protected by the Constitution.

This is basic Civics 101.

Page 184 of 723 pages is the "ectopic pregnancy" part. It does not require the re-implantation of an ectopic pregnancy, it merely suggests it if the doctor can do it. As there is no such medical procedure outside of the fevered imaginations of the morons who wrote this beast, it is a moot point.

Elsewhere there is language banning every type of abortion, language that defines a person as beginning at fertilization, and that fertilized egg as a child under the age of 13 for all matters of law.

So hell yes it is a sick and twisted mess.

Every pregnancy carries some risk for the woman's health. That's been true since the species began.

Sorry, but when men can get pregnant, only then will their opinions on abortion matter.

 

I never said I expected it. When someone says “abstinence doesn’t work,see they had a baby”... it’s like well duh, they didn’t actually practice it now, did they? They had sex. It truly is the only 100% effective way to avoid pregnancy and std’s/sti’s. It’s not feasible for everyone, but it’s absolutely true.

Education and contraceptives are not 100%. There is only ONE way that is 100% effective. Abstinence. I don’t preach it, just being truthful about it’s effectiveness while others lie about it(it doesn’t work, naw, it works perfectly as long as you practice it).

It follows gun banning logic perfectly too. Can’t be shooting people if you don’t have guns, right? Can’t be drowning in a pool if you don’t have a pool, right? Can’t be stabbing people with knives if there aren’t any knives, right? Pretty simple logic there.

 

Because, as with the abortion issue, the Christian right feels the need to stick their noses into our private business and dictate laws in accordance with their beliefs and no one else's.

Logic, however, also does not apply to the natural human desire to have sex. That said, something is certainly working, because the birth rate is way down, as is the abortion rate and teen pregnancies. Better contraceptives combined with education and access? That sounds logical to me.

Once a group, in this case, women(half the population) loses their bodily autonomy then they are open to all other forms of control....they have lost the right to their own bodies.

Righties may outlaw tubal ligation because some feel that it's women's "duty" is to breed....just forcing women to gestate indicates they think women are nothing but broodstock.
