Is it Columbus Day again already? Usually these garbage threads are reserved for that time of year.

The US government did terrible things to Native Tribes when it invaded and took their land. Reservations were a meager attempt to make things right. Now we want to go and finish the job? The silent majority does not agree with this sentiment. The vocal minority just wants to believe that. They believe it gives their horrible views validity.

There is no "anti white male agenda" ….but it looks like there is an anti Native American agenda.

Native Americans were slaughtered simply because of their race, called animals and savages, they were lied to, cheated, their treaties dismissed, their children taken away from them, they were forced to travel hundreds of miles to be relocated and imprisoned...

Posters like this see these topics as zero sum games. If efforts are made to support anyone who is not a white heterosexual male, they assume it must come at their direct expense. This is The result of a selfish mindset. Perhaps an underachiever who believes helping minorities has cost him the success he is owed.

Pragmatism. Getting legs off at the hip and arms off at the shoulder is relatively easy and fast work. Getting a brain out of a skull to eat is difficult, time consuming, and bone chips are likely to get in the meal.

 

What is racist, I explicitly said that Native Americans = humans and that it was their savage culture that was the problem.
Same goes for radical Islam and some African tribes.
Christian Europe used to be a problem in the dark ages and puritans had a cultural problem with witch hunts and what not.
Fact is that while the colonists had a flawed culture it was superior to savage culture. Nothing racist about facts.

Destroy reservations like the Berlin Wall. Native Americans should be treated like everyone else. Special treatment is bull ****

EVERY culture has done it's share of savagery and babrbarism.... like the christians in the southwest killing and torturing Jews who wouldn't convert to Catholicism...

If you want the Indians kicked off the resevations then can they come and live with you?

Can they get large sums of taxpayer money to relocate?

What court will uphold your attempt to further denigrate and cheat the Native Americans ?

Indians have very good lawyers now.

 

Exactly that is my point. Why uphold monuments to a savage culture that lost. Native Americans are just like everyone else. Destroy reservations does not mean bomb them but de-segregate them.

 

Take a trip up to the Pine Ridge Reservation in southwest South Dakota before saying that they got it special.

 

They are given special treatment. There are poor white people too believe it or not. Coddling someone with government handouts is not always the answer. That and clinging to racist beliefs like Native American supremacy or white supremacy(most of the white supremacists I see are very poor)

No such thing as gated segregated white communities... another myth by white haters.
Why is it wrong to be in a 70% white community?
I do not live in a gated neighborhood btw but I am extravagantly wealthy.

This is wrong.

"Savage" back then was a descriptive term for people living away from civilization. It was not pejorative.

You can see this easily with the term "noble savage" which was invented by humanists to *glorify* native tribes.

 

They were treated as a separate nation and given a reservation because we felt it a win win to do so. Destroying Indian culture is not to our advantage. There is...as Jay Runner mentioned...alot to admire especially iij n this day and age.
These reservations are the poorest areas in the US, but it's up to the nations to figure things out. They have sovereignty.

Poor whites, poor blacks and Indian nations without the chains of reservations have it incredibly better.

 

By this logic there is nothing wrong with native culture as it exists today. There are no native tribes that practice scalping or cannibalism today. Doing away with native culture because of its history would justify doing away with Christian culture for the same reason. I’m guessing you wouldn’t want that though.
