Looks like as good guy with a gun - a CCW permit, almost certainly - stopped what may very well have been a mass shooting.

Darn it, right? This -surely- wont support the anti-gun narrative.

What if this had been a gun-free zone? How many more would have died?

Once again proving the obvious truth: 1. Armed citizens can gun down violent felons in the act.
    2. Gun Free Zones = Killing Zones.

Two innocent people shot, and the NRA calls it a "win"? Whatever.
I'd call it a tragedy, but you want to pretend there is an up-side to this for political points, go for it.

Every time a violent felon is gunned down in the act by a potential victim the community as a whole benefits.

"The shooter reenters the sanctuary, talks to a man in a suit and sits down. The person gets up again and talks to the same man, who points in a direction, and the shooter pulls out a firearm and shoots two people."

Wonder what's the story with that?

The inherent problem is that without a manifesto or other prepublished statement of intent, theres no way to prove it was to be a 'mass shooting.' And without that proof of intent, the gcers prefer to assume that the maximum damage was already done prior to the intervention of the 'good guy with a gun.' And they might be right... theres simply no way to know.

And since, of course, those who plan mass shootings target gun free zones for the highest body count potential, this dynamic will continue.

Seems as if the gunman target those two people in this case, since he seemed to ask about them - so the result would probably have been about the same. We can speculate all day long, but you don't know.

Again, I'm not against personal ownership of guns, but after documenting crime scenes for nine years, I know that guns aren't a panacea for anything.

Was able to watch video of this shooting-it could have gone far worse.

Looks like the Church member hit the thug in the CNS, because it was lights out.

The thug appeared to have tunnel vision.

Fortunately there were multiple people armed in that church.

Thankfully there was no second attacker.

There was an attempted mass shooting in White Settlement TX this morning. The bad guy and one other person are dead. A third person is in critical condition.

    https://www.foxnews.com/us/texas-church-shooting-texas-injured-active

Texans have learned their lesson and are not willing to be victims any more. The bad guy was shot and killed by an armed church goer 2 seconds after his first shot. Here is the video if it stays up. There is sound and you will see a gun commercial before the video. The video shows the entire situation from across the room. There is no blood, but it's still graphic.

    Excerpt from article above:
During the service, a man went in and fired a weapon. Church members returned fire, striking the shooter who was pronounced dead at the scene, White Settlement Police Chief J.P. Bevering said.

Lots of bullets can fly in 2 seconds.
In this case... one victim got massacred, an other is looking like it's going to die as well.

That's what you get when too many support that any random idiot must be able to buy a gun.

Is there any evidence, any whatsoever, that would prove conclusively the individual who opened fire was in legal possession of a firearm at the time of the incident, as opposed to illegally possessing it?

White settlement is the name of the community, not the type of church.

Your random dope head who legally bought a gun is able to sell it to your random mass shooter as a private citizen. No questions asked in Texas.

    Good job!

Says someone who has never purchased a gun in Texas. Unless you are admitting on the Form 4473.

There are plenty of questions asked.

Democrats/neo-commies are pushing to make the NRA a terrorist organization so they can classify their members as terrorists and round them up. They will deny this till the day they do it.

If you believe Democrats/neo-commies when they say they aren't coming for your guns, you are the one that looks stupid.

Meaning there is presently no evidence to demonstrate the individual was in legal possession of a firearm at the time of the incident. Thus meaning the contribution on the part of yourself in this discussion is nothing more than just one more rant fixating exclusively on the implement, and blaming its presence and availability for the actions of those who view murder as a perfectly acceptable activity to engage in.

That form 4473 is a form filled in when you buy it from a shop. Not from some drug addicted boomer who sells his crap at a garage sale.

If someone is indeed addiction to illicit narcotic substances, then the acquisition of the firearm was not legal, as such is a question on the background check form. If they answer yes, the sale cannot proceed. If they answer no, they have committed federal perjury and can be prosecuted for a myriad of charges.
