This has by far got to be the stupidest most hateful post in this entire thread.

 

It was a sawed off shotgun, which does not fire bullets and typically holds 3 to 4 shells in the magazine tube. The killer's motive is unknown, but he was not going to massacre a lot of people with that gun.

Nobody supports the idea that anyone should be able to buy a gun. That is why there are so very many disqualifiers on gun ownership in Federal law.

Evidence is clear the killer was in illegal possession. The fact that it was a sawed off shotgun is defining of a criminal in illegal possession. There is a massive mountain of law and case law that says so.

It is a Federal crime in all states and all states add their own laws prohibiting a user of illegal and addictive drugs to buy or be in possession of any firearm by any means.

The discussion is about religious people getting killed in church. The Bible plainly says that the souls of people who get killed for their faith are kept under the altar in white robes and that the killing will continue until the magic number is reached. If you don't believe that then why in the hell would you waste time going to church praying to a character that you don't believe in? So, it is obvious that there were very few, if any, real Christians in that church at that time.

I am also an atheist but I am knowledgable about various religions. The Bible is very specific on this issue. The Jesus character demands that a magic number of believers MUST BE KILLED before he returns. It has been 2,000 years and there's no indication that he is on his way but, if the story is true, the next victim might be that magic number. And since the victim will go to heaven why get upset because an evil angel blew his brains out? His soul will endure so there's no harm.

What is offensive is people who claim to believe in ancient ethnocentric Middle Eastern religious fairy tales but don't follow them. If I was a believer I would simply stay in my seat and if the perp killed me I would be glad because I would believe in the promise. In any case I wouldn't go around shedding tears and whining about how guns should be banned because people kill each other with them. Samson killed 1,000 people with a donkey's jawbone.

The bottom line: I have no empathy for anyone of any religion who is killed while worshiping his favorite deity.
