Sorry, that's the most recent I could find. Seriously doubt the numbers have changed that much though.

"The Jesus character demands that a magic number of believers MUST BE KILLED before he returns..."

I've never heard that. It sounds like bullshit. If anyone, at all, believes that, they're in the fringe. Where did you get that?

    -------------------------------------------------------
You claim to know better. Therefore you know that these people are mistaken.

Why would you bemoan their human instincts? It makes no sense, to me. All living things struggle to survive. Some sacrifice themselves so that others can survive. Those two that were killed did that. The other, armed guys were willing to do that.

I don't understand why anyone, athiest or not, would hold such contempt for human life, or any life, as you display.

It’s all good. I guess most would refer to my beliefs as “Christian”. Wyrd and I are cool. Unquestioned beliefs aren’t of much value in religion or politics.

    I disagree.

I'm shocked to see anyone rant because more innocent people weren't killed.

Do you have a link to an NRA statement calling the incident a win or is your quote made up?

None at this time and as I write this comment no info released on the individual in question other than he has been arrested before. And as most of us know felony convictions preclude legal firearm ownership.

I see your point. I try to look at the long term positive effects such statements have. Perhaps I’m too pragmatic at times.

Yes, they are under siege and should fight back by any means necessary, since the city is looking the other way.

Astonishing nonsense. Gun Free Zones are a fiction, a work of political wordsmithing. They do not exist, can not exist. No law, no regulation, no signs can make them exist. They are pretend, a sign on a wall or a sticker on a door. They carry all the power of a child's bedtime story and are even less enforceable.

You ask after a fantasy. "If this fantasy truly existed" is an empty question. How about, "If Harry Potter was truly real then a Ford Anglia could be made to fly and it would get infinite gas mileage".

In the real world the bad people are not impeded by laws, they are punished by them once caught and prosecuted. If someone wants to take a sawed off, very illegal, very prohibited shotgun into a place to commit a horrendous crime, no little law, rule, regulation, signage or wishful thinking is going to impede them.

That is the nature of bad people. They are BAD and do BAD THINGS.

Do we have a Name and Race of this person that wanted to commit Mass Murder at this White Settlement Church, because I can't find anything about him yet, which maybe already answers my question. I'm thinking this is a Hate crime directed at White People.

You mean like speed-limit signs near kindergartens and people who ignore them and drive like hell anyway?

There are a couple. First, it arouses curiosity in people capable of seeking truth. Doesn’t defensive behavior towards something make you curious about why that something engenders such defensiveness?

Second, honesty about prejudices is preferable to hidden prejudices. When things are out in the open, observers are able to make sound judgments as to which party is operating in good faith. If ideas can’t be discussed frankly and to their core, real learning is nearly impossible.

From the video: Those with guns "undoubtedly save the lives of 242 parishioners".
So they want us to believe that the shooter had 242 rounds? Give me a break!

I know how fascinating this is to you, one blast by a shotgun at close range can kill more than one person especially if they are waiting in line for holy sacraments

Gun free zones in America are a myth.
For a “gun free zone” see countries where civilians are not allowed weapons — virtually zero gun crime.

Since you like to get nitty-gritty let me ask you what you think the shotgun spread is like at close range, how many people you think a single blast would kill, and how many shells you think his shotgun would hold before needing reloading. Can we come to an agreement now that 242 dead is outright ridiculous?

We are very aware of North Korea where citizens can not carry guns and eat grass with their stupid state sponsored hair cuts.

    Story highlights
    • Report by the United Nations Commission of Inquiry released Monday
    • Testimony by North Koreans refugees presents bleak portrait of human rights in regime
    • Witnesses tell of inhuman treatment, arbitrary detention, abuse and starvation
    • Pyongyang has refused to participate in the investigation, condemning it as a "charade"

The testimonies, one after another, have been damning, disturbing and, at points, excruciating.
A North Korean prison camp survivor told of a pregnant woman in a condition of near-starvation who gave birth to a baby -- a new life born against all odds in a grim camp. A security agent heard the baby's cries and beat the mother as a punishment.
She begged him to let her keep the baby, but he kept beating her.
With shaking hands, the mother was forced to pick up her newborn and put the baby face down in water until the cries stopped and a water bubble formed from the newborn's mouth.
It's just one example of the kind of testimony heard during an 11-month inquiry into alleged violations of human rights in North Korea, and documented in a report released by the United Nations Commission of Inquiry on Human Rights on Monday.

Do you believe NK is the only nation on earth that bans or severely limits weapons?
If you do not — why did you being it up?
If you do — you should educate yourself.
