    If this was committed by a black shooter, the thread certainly wouldn't have 28 pages! It would have gotten the same if not less attention than the Jersey City shooting! DOUBLE STANDARD!

    State and federal law create a legal threshold after which point it is illegal for a mentally ill person to possess a firearm.
    How many mass shooters were unable to legally own a gun due to a mental illness disqualification?
    How did they then get the gun they used?

    Article 4, Section 1.
    "Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State. And the Congress may by general Laws prescribe the Manner in which such Acts, Records and Proceedings shall be proved, and the Effect thereof."

    Under federal law, when does an online-sale not have to go though an FFL - and thus, a background check?

    All gun sales require a 4377 unless it's a private sale. You can arrange a face to face private sale on line. You cannot legally sell a gun remotely without an FFL.

    Do you know that the first gun control law passed by a State was to prohibit concealed carry? The SCOTUS eventually overturned it.

    Under U.S.code, foreign nationals who have been lawfully admitted to the USA can purchase and possess a gun under a few conditions:
    • If they were admitted to the USA for lawful hunting or sporting purposes, or if they are in possession of a U.S.-issued hunting license or permit.
    The way he got his gun has nothing to do with the FFL. If you want to make a law that non-citizens cannot own a gun, under any circumstance, go ahead. I'm ok with that.

    I had to look up what a 4377 is and yeah, when my wife and I bought our guns - and this was only six-ish months ago - yeah, we both had to take tests and then fill out the e-version of it.

    Afterwards my wife asked me if I answered the question about my sanity truthfully, and I replied hey, you married ME, what does that say about YOUR sanity! :)

    You want to selectively pick only certain statistics. In fact you only care about victims if a gun is involved. The Second Amendment is all about protection from authoritarians such as yourself. As long as that amendment stands you will never disarm us.
