(CNN)Two children, ages 12 and 13, were shot after throwing snowballs at passing cars in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, police said.

The pair was hurling snowballs at passing cars with a group of children on Saturday evening, Milwaukee police said in a series of tweets.

One of the snowballs struck a white Toyota, and the driver of the car shot at the children, police said.

Clear case of self-defense. Thank God Almighty we have enshrined the RIGHT to bear arms, so that every American, no matter how mentally deficient, can own a highly portable instrument for wounding and driving off dangerous children with snowballs at a safe distance! God bless America!

Very sad. No law abiding gun owner would excuse the actions of this driver.

I couldn't see it when I was replying. It is a true statement. I agree 100%.

 

If the shooter turns out to be one of the left's special and perpetually oppressed people, then watch this story disappear faster than a witness against Clinton.

And we never, ever see a liberal post a story about a shooting when it occurs in Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, St Louis or New Orleans, which is odd since there are so many to choose from.

 

These kids shouldn't have been throwing snowballs at cars to begin with.

Shooting them was absolutely not the appropriate solution, but I find it amusing how folks only want to focus on the gun part of the story without putting any responsibility on the kids (or parents.)

People have been killed by kids dropping things on their cars from overpasses. Maybe those two have been broken from future bad behavior for the rest of their lives.

No one has even been killed or even hurt by ice in a snowball that struck their car. No one. Meanwhile, there is a person in this story who ACTUALLY attempted murder. Yet you find no "moral" there.

That's right. Snowballs are deadly projectiles and the use of a firearm to ward off vicious 12- and 13-year-old attackers coming at your car with those deadly objects is clearly warranted and exactly what the Founding Fathers intended.

I get kids are stupid, but even I was never stupid enough to throw stuff at a moving car. The driver that shoot these kids is a complete moron for doing that, but really stand around and throw stuff at cars is acceptable behavior. And as a bonus it is against the law to throw snowballs on city property in Milwaukee. Had these kids been law abiding citizens they wouldn't have had to learn a hard lesson.

Kids should not throw snowballs at moving vehicles, people should never discharge a firearm in public unless they are in danger and know where the bullet will terminate, and people should never attack the gun rights of lawful citizens based on the actions of this driver.
