Kids, aged 12 and 13, shot by driver after throwing snowballs at passing cars

Are you really so brainwashed by the NRA that you’re questioning whether a guy who shot at kids for throwing snowballs is a coward?

 

Even if it had obstructed visibility for him, firing a gun at a couple of kids is not an appropriate response.

 

What makes him a 'coward'? Stupid, dangerous, and soon to be felon, yes. Coward? Can you without a doubt state his mindset as being a 'coward'?

Right. You can't get a side window replaced for much less than $200. Even if the victim's noses were not broken by snowballs going through the windshield maybe those kids have now thought better -- and have decided not to drop concrete chunks off of overpasses and kill commuters on the interstate.

If you want children to be safe teach them to obey the rules and obey the laws -- so they don't end up in the prison house and some big gang dude cuts their head off or worse.

I'm assuming the kids get a slap on the wrist for being idiots, or perhaps nothing happens to them legally since the message certainly has been delivered (and how!)
I'm positive they will never throw another snowball at a vehicle.

I'm assuming the driver (fkn idiot) gets the book thrown at him, whatever charge the prosecutor deems necessary.
I'm (almost) positive that this guy will never shoot at kids again, he totally needs punished.

Why shouldn't we focus on the gun? If someone throws a snowball, using a gun is not an acceptable response. So why not focus on the fact that someone who is obviously not qualified, neither emotionally, morally, or mentally has the right to possess the gun ? Is that not what we should be discussing here ?

 

Yes, kids do stupid things. We should be allowed to mow them down for it. I bet there'd me a LOT fewer snowballs thrown.

I can't understand how a sane and rational person could read that story and their first response ("moral of the story") is that kids shouldn't be throwing snowballs. Disgusting display of idiocy.

How many people have been killed by rocks, sandbags and other items thrown at vehicles? A two or three pound block of ice thrown at a car traveling 60 mph is a deadly weapon.

I question the entire premise of this OP, but haven't looked into it.

Were there any witnesses to these kids claims they were shot at? There seems to be some glaring omissions here.

We used to throw snowballs at cars when I was a kid. There was no fear of being shot at but if your dad found out an arse whupping followed.

Back then the metal on cars was so thick you could not damage a car with snow.

Times have changed. No one shot at kids for pranks in thr 50s.

But America has gone insane. We now have video games where you can go around doing crime and killing cops. For $hits and giggles. Real constructive entertainment.

As I said we have gone bonkers.

We once had better sense, our adults.

 

Yes, I know that wasn't the point of your post. The point of my post is that there is already a law against murdering people and that law encompasses any way shape or form possible to commit a murder. Yet murder still happens in a million and one plus ways. Because its not the instrument used that determines a murder. It is the person committing an act that determines a murder. And they are ALL tragic. Focusing on the instrument or means is pointless. You need to focus on the person who commit the acts because that is the only way to prevent a murder...and even then you will fail in the end because quite frankly, there are and always will be shitty people in the world.
