Canadian? Yes. But born, raised, and university grad in California.

    I don't "practice socialism." That's absurd.
    Like you?
    We've been over this.
    Take an economics class.

Sure I know what socialism is. I read a dictionary. Try it.
You pay taxes for social services that you take advantage of, you practice socialism. It isn’t like socialism is always voluntary you know. All free nations are a combination of governance.

Lol. Look at the list. They aren’t clinics with restricted care. Many are full service hospitals. They aren’t part of the healthcare system ? LOL. Of course they are., You didn’t read the references ? All healthcare in both Canada and the US are a combination of private and government facilities. You haven’t provided any reference, except to say, I live in Canada and I’m a college grad. Not a reference.

A dictionary is a book of common usage. It's not a substitute for understanding.
Everyone who takes Social Security or Medicare is a socialist? Egads.
As I said, take an economics class.

I have. It says nothing about Canada not having private providers.
If an economics class makes you right about socialism, it should be no trouble for you to provide a reference. I’ve seen zero, nada, zilch....
    Funny, I have.

How about UCLA ? If I took a course there, here is what they would say about “socialism.”
There are no countries that are 100% and most are a mix of socialism with capitalism, or communism or both.
guess which one we and Canada are.

That’s like 3 or 4 to your zero. They also list the social programs that make countries in part socialists.

    Examples of Socialist Countries
There are no countries that are 100% socialist, according to the Socialist Party of the United Kingdom. Most have mixed economies that incorporate socialism with capitalism, communism, or both.

All you did was prove my point. We are a mix of socialism and capitalism. Yes, you pay into a social program.
I guess you didn’t read your own reference...
After this paragraph, continue reading. I am 100% right.
You’re swimming upstream trying to show something....I don’t know ?

READ FROM HERE ON and continue after.
Economist and social theorist Hans Herman Hoppe wrote that there are only two archetypes in economic affairs – socialism and capitalism – and that every real system is a combination of these archetypes. But because of the archetypes' differences, there is an inherent challenge in the philosophy of a mixed economy and it becomes a never-ending balancing act between predictable obedience to the state and the unpredictable “consequences of individual behavior.

You are wrong. Not even your own reference agrees with you...and all you’re doing is saying I’m wrong without proof.

Bet your asteroid. Socialism is built into our economy. You can’t avoid it. You can tell people you’re not participating and practicing socialism like you can tell people you don’t gamble....but not while you’re buying a lottery ticket. IT’s HYSTERICAL

They would say? Under what circumstance?
Duh? We have socialized public schools, police, military and have had all along. What country has a private military?

If I live under the protection of the armed forces and police I'm a socialist? We're all socialists according to you.

I suppose you have no idea how dumb that sounds.

Good. You finally agree, because our military is one if the biggest employers in the world, spends the most money on this socialized program, we PRACTICE AND PARTICIPATE IN SOCIALISM. I was in the military, police, social security, Medicare and public schools. I and anyone else who
participated in any or all, practiced and engaged socialism.
And you claim you do not, esp in Canada ?
Btw, I worked as a contractor so I practiced capitalism too....our economy is a mix. One of our gov. primary jobs is to support social programs....that’s socialism.

No, social programs are NOT socialism. They are purchased 'luxury' services, only possible via the vast profits of capitalism. Just like the rich can afford to buy gardening services, so can the rich capitalist nation afford 'social programs'. If you enjoy those luxuries, you best embrace their source - capitalism!
