Burisma situation not helping, but overall Biden is depressing Biden.

I think, if the financial makes it possible, he will stick it out until SC, maybe super Tuesday, and then he's finished.

Biden’s had a history of being a poor Presidential candidate. How he’s been hyped and transformed into anything other than a poor candidate this cycle is beyond me.

Do not believe that being anything other than a poor candidate is holding him back.

It seems like we’re reaching for an excuse for the unwarranted hype.

Yeah, there's something he lacks. Candor? He would make a good ombudsman or a cheerleader for a sports team, but he lacks ... I don't know. Vision or something. The smile seems artificial and is therefore repulsive. Bill Clinton had it ... magnetism? Bill smiled a lot too but it didn't seem phony, especially when he was ... well, never mind.

Or it could be that they recognize that made up (possibly by Russian Intelligence) conspiracy theories that have no evidentiary basis can stick and harm a candidate even if unfounded as long as it's repeated and drummed in enough.

I could make up a conspiracy about anybody or anything and if it gets memed enough out there, people are going to start to believe it. Look at the guy that went armed up looking for "Pizzagate".

It's worth remembering that this is process, not partisanship and once Democrats get wise enough to put down their knitting needles and leave the drum circle they might do the same thing to another completely innocent, completely viable Republican candidate who is wholly deserving of the job if not the negative attention.

That's an unusual and refreshingly original take. Yeah, maybe.

What I notice is a lack of indignation. Who is saying: "How DARE they suggest Good Old Uncle Joe would do anything sleazy?" And why not?

    And

FBI raids company tied to Joe Biden brother

A business accused of using the Biden name to rake in high-dollar clients was raided by the FBI last month.

The FBI searched Ellwood City Medical Center in Pennsylvania and the home of Grant White, the CEO of Americore Holdings, as part of its investigation into the company’s recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy claims, according to

RealClearInvestigations. Americore Holdings, a company that acquired and managed rural hospitals, filed for bankruptcy in December to avoid paying its creditors....

    ...
James Biden, the younger brother of former Vice President Joe Biden, was not directly listed by the FBI in its investigation but has been listed as a “principal” of Americore Holdings. Both White and James Biden were included in a separate lawsuit in which the two were accused of fraud by Tennessee businessman Michael Frey."

In that lawsuit, James Biden was accused of using Joe Biden's influence to attract international clients and drive up the value of a merger between two rural hospitals. Michael Lewitt, a hedge fund manager who had been working with James Biden, was accused of using the Biden name to downplay potential legal ramifications for the merger.

Not for me. I consider all politicians to be corrupt.

Of course it's depressing support, but Biden is a depressing candidate in general. It's clear anyone looking that his mind is slipping. He needs to retire and go write a memoir or something before he totally loses it.
