I laughed out loud at the bold part. She made you think it through.
For some unknown reason my family had a slight obsession with China. Children are starving in China and keep digging that hole. You'll be in China soon.
We didnt know one single person who lived in China, visited China or is Chinese.

I got the starving kids in China lecture, too.

I made several attempts, but was never able to reach China.

My mom was a tough, wooden spoon wielding, old school, 100% Italian parent.
Soft northern parents were parents other children had.

I remember well the days of Rocky Colavido and first baseman
    Vic Power.My Confirmation Godfather { wasn't a Catholic } was
Cleveland Sportscaster Bob Neal.He called many an Indian game.
    He had a radio studio in the corner of his basement.His son { adopted }
was named Davey.THE Biggest spoiled brat in the neighborhood. He was
adopted as was his older brother Paul who was the exact opposite.
Tall and Saintly.Excellent swimmer but a poor student.Paul drove a
Triumph TR4.He also had a 19 ' Lyman boat for water skiing.

Most Italians lived in N.Y.city.One exception was the great
wrestler Bruno Sammartino whose father moved the family from
a small town in Italy { Pizzoferrato } to Pittsburg.Bruno died recently
and was somewhat healthy right up to his passing.Very direct and honest.
Probably the only Big Time Professional Wrestler who just couldn't
be a faker. He had the adoration of practically all pro wrestlers with
the exception of a Blonde Bodybuilder wrestling for the New York
territory by the Name of Billy Graham.Graham was one of the strongest
men in the world at one time. And much taller than Bruno.
Graham beat Bruno once in the 70's to gain the title and then
in their next match Bruno was so peeved at the Egomaniac
Graham { who had a slight injury on the night he lost } that Bruno
made up his mind he was going to Beat Graham or die trying.
Bruno lucked out a bit and got Graham in a back-breaking move
and told him to give up or he'd break his back.

Peachtree switch or wooden spoon, now that is a choice to make. Did you get to pick out which wooden spoon? We got to pick out which switch with a warning, "It better not break."

No. The sound of the drawer she kept the spoons in opening was chilling because I knew what was coming. She would say each word and punctuate it with a swing of the spoon as hard as she could.
    " I....told...you...never...ever...( fill in the blank). Did...you...listen?...No...you....didnt....Now ...you're...going...to...listen."

Then she would go on and on. They clear cut forests to replace all the wooden spoons she broke on me. When she died I took the two wooden spoons that survived, home with me. Those spoons have major meaning to me now. Mom treasures.

In a way, you got to pick out your spoon. Most of those admonishments you mentioned I remember well.

Rocky Colavito was before my time, but my oldest sister stopped being an Indians fan because they traded him away.

It never fails! I make spaghetti sauce and it always seems to splatter everything. A lid doesn’t even keep it from happening. I’m a clean freak of sorts. Once a week I pull out the stove and refrigerator out, wipe down the walls and mop underneath. There is something stuck in my mind about where food is stored and prepared that should be hospital operating room clean. But damn this spaghetti sauce.
    FALENA! Help a brother out.

    I was thinking about this.
I was probably about 13 or 14 and a friend of mine came over the house. We were upstairs and she had a condom she took from her house. She was all into checking it out and I had an interest..lol. Anyway, she opens the package. We check it out and I remember thinking, ok I understand. She throws the torn packet and unfolded condom in the garbage and we went on to do whatever not giving it a thought.
I come home and my mom was in full blown lesson mode. She was insane with it thinking what in the name of God I was doing with a condom upstairs. The phrase that stuck through the hell fire was, "I didnt raise a pig." lol I was trying to explain what happened and she half calmed down but that was the end of that friendship. "End it or I will."

I was raised by a tough mom to toughen me up and sharpen me up for the life that awaited me. Im grateful for every swing she took and every lesson she taught me. The hard way or not.

I have to play this. It says it all.

    Ill do my best.
You cant boil gravy hard. It has to slow simmer. Good things, like beer, take time. I keep a lid on the sauce pan but slightly askew so the steam escapes to make the gravy thicker and sharpen the flavor of the herbs, spices or meat you added. Turn the stove down to a slow simmer and occasionally return to stir it. Ill let 1 can of crushed tomato with a little water to rinse the can out simmer for 2 hours easy. More if I have time. Less if I have less time.
If you dump crushed tomato into hot oil forget it. You got a holy mess. Also, a small sauce pan is a big tomato mess on the stove.
You got this. What times dinner? Ill bring the Rum Cake.

Good morning. Got an email at work today from a hacker who said he's been following my every move online. Even taking pics of me with my own pc camera.. Knows what a naughty girl I've been and all the porn sites I visit on my computer at work. Also able to read all the nasty messages Ive sent. He will release all this damaging info in 72 hrs if I don't send him $762 in bitcoins.

Alright... which one of you is a hacker?

Yeah that song was not a fitting song. I like the song but not a song for a young person to sing.

Her voice is amazing. She has a warm tone to me pretty much at any range she can sing. You just sit back and imagine if at 13 she is singing at such an amazing level, what direction that will lead her in life. There are such huge possibilities. Very cool thanks for linking that.

Tell that fool he's late to the party.
Everyone already knows you're into porn, they know you're naughty and you're proud of it and that you send nasty messages to them all the time. This is no new news.

A certain, vanished polar bear had an unnatural interest in photos. I think he would have paid you, though.

    Just a thought.
