I'm not wealthy and they've been protecting me.

It's like you're trying to tell a mathematician that 2x1=3.

Like I said, the day they advocate not increasing my taxes is the day I'll start to agree with you.

Americans love corruption, and encourage their pols in this sort of mindless sociopathic circus. They only object to' The Other Party's Corruption and Pork'. Most of these pols are incumbents, and probably 90% of them will get re-elected. The American government does indeed represent the American people and reflects their morals almost exactly.

People who are unemployed due to company shutdowns are not corps. This was a bill meant to help them and the corps, but the corps had to pay the amounts they received back. The bill is designed to specifically help those effected, it's not meant to be used as an opportunity to ram down your legislation that cost you the last election.

Honestly I was at first, but I guess that’s my fault. I thought for sure they would actually try to help the American people for a change here.

Very well managed when 61 million contracted H1N1 and 12,500 died? But we're currently on a countrywide shutdown because 16,000 cases of this virus.

If they do then they do, but they're not taking money from my skinny pocket to fatten the pockets of those who would rather get my money than work.

Oh Yeah! The cancer of envy has again raised it's ugly head. If you had a business and needed seed money to get it going one of the ways is offer stock. The markets will determine the worth of the stock. Say the price is $50 a share. Now your business becomes successful and you decide you want more control of your own company and you start buying back your stock as it becomes available on the market. The seller wants $100 a share and then it is up to you if you wish to pay that amount or offer less. What ever price is agreed upon is the market price. You offer $99.75 and the seller agrees. The seller makes $49.75 a share profit . The only difference is that now the company owns more of it's own stock by the amount of shares the seller was willing to let go. The only thing that has changed is there are less shares in the market on that company. It is very prudent for a company to buy their own stock back when it is highly undervalued, I wouldn't be surprised Apple isn't buying it's stock by the fistfuls right now.

One of the great things about Capitalism was that it was able to offer the average worker a higher standard of living than was the norm. There really was a time when only the very rich could afford to fly on a airplane or take a trip on a luxury ship. Today millions of people fly and what is coach today would have been first class years ago. Today families board ships and most everything is included at a price only the rich and famous use to enjoy. Today I live in a house that when I was a kid I would have considered belonging to a rich person. I can get food in restaurants today just as good as any fancy restaurant. When I was 18 me and the majority of our friends were sent packing to make life on our own. Today it is not unusual for kids to turn into adults and still live at home. College was a luxury for the well off. One should be thankful for the opportunities that previous generations have obtained for them.

The only thing Elizabeth Warren and those like her interested are themselves. If she is so worried why doesn't she take some of that millions she has and head out to the reservations and help her people? You have San Francisco, a liberal bastion of Silicon money, and do they help their homeless? I guess if stepping over them and ignoring them is helping then so be it.

A good example of what I'm talking about is a e-mail I just received from a 5 star restaurant in our area with the following menu for take out:

    Cup of She Crab Soup
    House Salad with House Dressing
    7 bacon wrapped Scallops
choice of: 9 oz Sirloin $34.99
    26 oz Porterhouse 45.99
    40 oz Tomahawk Ribeye 64.99
    48 oz Tomahawk Ribeye 69.99
Paired with Jumbo Fried Shrimp & Yukon Gold Potatoes or Fries
Choice of Dessert: Lemonberry Mascarone, Carrot Cake, or Chocolate Cake

    Only in America.

It's not all about the Dem pork. It's more a matter of Nancy wants it to be Nancybucks, and not Trumpbucks.

Nancy will probably come back with something very similar to the original Senate bill she walked away from, but the difference will be Nancy's mummy hands will be on the bill, and not just Trump's.

Yes, she truly is THAT evil and petty that she would delay relief to desperate Americans to score egotistical political points for herself.

The absolute state of the Dems.

What's new is the Dems pretending it was a cooperative bipartisan effort that was making progress, until they yanked the rug out from under suffering Americans at the last minute and revealed that it was a bait and switch scam. Nothing but a sham and a delaying tactic all along.

Just when you think the Dems couldn't possibly sink any lower, they grab a shovel and dig deeper.

    That's 40,000 cases today.

    It's growing at 30% a day.

Do you understand what I just wrote?

And these are only the known cases. There are probably 100,000 people who are carrying the virus without having sympthoms, so far.

In two weeks, with the exception of the Spanish flu, every other epidemic the US has had for 200 years will be a joke.

Except for the total containment of the entire population - as in China and Italy two weeks ago - all other measures are futile.

The situation is already out of control..... Partly thanks to Trump, by the way.

She'll probably add a little poison-pill to the bill, to ensure the Republicans won't pass it.
Then she can blame Republicans to her followers.

    MOSTLY thanks to Trump.

Anyway, it is utterly laughable to blame any of this on the Dems.

If McConnell can't get it done, it is 100% the fault of the GOP. Period.

    ^And Everybody KNOWS that.

    Thanks alot, Trump.:smh:

Democrats just blocked the COVID Aid bill a second time trying to get all their pet projects and Green New deal included.
