No you haven't, you've stated that it's false you've done nothing else.

    LOL, no we don't.

The Left thinks everyone is exactly the same, which is the only way they can call something like a Universal Basic Income 'fair'. Individualism and meritocracies say precisely the opposite.

    LOL again.

The Right is ALL ABOUT individualism, and the Left doesn't want anything to do with it.

BWAHAHHAAAAA!! You have yet to offer any facts. All you do is engage in despicable and fact-free ad hominem speculations about me personally.
No, you just made that up, like everything else you have said about me. I have never said I expect the world to be perfect -- I've never even said I expect it to get better -- only that it could be a lot better than it is if only evil, lying liars didn't constantly lie about the facts of objective reality to rationalize their privilege, justify their injustice and excuse their evil.
"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man." -- GB Shaw

You are content to pursue your own material advantage by placing yourself in a position to profit from the injustice that characterizes the world as it is. I would prefer to leave the world a better place than it is by reducing that injustice. You seek to take from the world while I seek to contribute to it, so you condemn me, purely on that account, as not taking responsibility for my own life, about which you know absolutely nothing.

    That about it?.
Oh, but I do -- and you know it. See immediately above.
Again, you have no facts or arguments to offer, nothing but your ridiculous ad hominem fabrications about me personally.

    Disgraceful.
    See above re progress.
<yawn> Again, you have nothing to offer but ad hominem $#!+ you make up.

In a world of systematic, institutionalized injustice, exploitation and horror, only a sociopath who regards his fellow human beings as worthless and rightless prey can be at peace with himself. Maybe that's you?
I have identified specifically what "they" have done to me and everyone else.
Sure. Because like you, they were focused on taking rather than contributing -- and let's face it: achieving the goal of taking is a lot easier than achieving the goal of contributing. But fine, that's their prerogative. Just don't give me any of your scummy, rotten filth that being successful takers somehow makes them better or more worthy human beings than unsuccessful contributors.
See above re progress and the difference between possibilities and expectations.
In a game that was rigged so almost everyone would lose.
That is nothing but more of your evil, blame-the-victim filth, and calling the beneficiaries of institutionalized privilege and injustice "self-made" is grotesque.
But unjust institutions CAN be fixed. You just don't want them to be fixed because you prefer injustice you can find a way to profit from over justice that only rewards you commensurately with your contributions.

This amused me. Didn't you pretend to be a left winger? When did you give up on that sham?

No, you are again just makin' $#!+ up. I have identified the specific facts of objective physical reality that prove it is false.

Take a few deep breaths and think this through.

There is not an animal or organism alive which doesn't need to exchange something for the means of survival. Labour or currency, it's all the same. It's cause and effect.

I realise you will make an exception for 'landowners', and in some sense you may be right - but even nature gives examples of status equating to power over others. Queen bees, alpha male social mammals .. both examples prove that even in nature if you fight hard enough, or are born lucky ... others will fete you and keep you alive. The lesser males born to the wolf pack aren't born with rights which are then stolen from them. They have to fight for any rights, and subsequently lose. You simply can't make the argument that humans are doing anything that we haven't always done, in every iteration of our existence. Even insects operate in a similar way.

The only way around that nature is communism - but you're going to need to give up all interest in individualism, preferences, and freedoms. Just like the worker bee. Just like 1984. Are you ready for that?

What does that have to do with what I said?

And my dear, I'm so far to the left of you that you can't even see me. That shows two things: a) I'm much farther left than you, and b) you're barely left at all.

For openers, that seems to assume that the federal government is authoritatively superior to the citizenry. And that is a thought that I find...well, downright scary.

Moreover, to claim that "[t]he average SS recipient gets $18,500 per year" is to assume that this is his (or her) only source of income. And that is an enormously gratuitous assumption.

Oh, and the statement that some amorphous "they" would be left with "a paltry 22.5 TRILLION dollars to squeeze by on" is surely an appeal to class envy.

The left has always been about individualism. It cracks me up that you refer to collectivism to lick right wing arse. You have no left wing credentials, but pretend otherwise in your troll.

Utter nonsense, Reivs. Individualism is the hallmark of the libertarian and free market capitalist.

It's the Left - both its evil step children (Progressives) and its bluebloods (Commies) - who want everyone the same. Progs because they're deluded fantasists who can only make their warped idea of justice work if we're all robots. And Commies because everyone must earn their keep equally.

LOLs .. sure Reivs. The paid up Commie collectivist and lifelong hard Left voter has no credentials.

But hey, if my credentials make you feel like a fraud (and they should), carry on telling yourself 1 + 1 doesn't equal 2. If you're genuinely oblivious to all but the Cafe Lite Leftist - the white middle class Progressive - I can understand your confusion.

But if the DP House passed such a bill the DP could run on your idea.
    Why don't they do that?

    Oh, I have, believe me.
Are you willing to know the difference between exchanging labor for the fruits of that labor and exchanging ransom money for a family member's liberty?

It's not a hard question. Are you willing or not? Yes or no? Because if you are, you are not going to be able to stop until you have come all the way over to my side.
Or any owner of a privilege (a legal entitlement to benefit from the abrogation of others' rights without making just compensation).
Status and power may be earned, and do not necessarily deprive anyone else of anything they would otherwise have. Privilege DOES, and can therefore never be earned.
Animals other than us have instincts, not rights. Human beings -- the anatomically modern H sapiens -- are unique in that respect for, I submit, good evolutionary reasons.
But that is exactly the argument I am making. Observation of social animals shows they do not recognize rights; not even chimpanzees do. More importantly, there is paleontological evidence that pre-modern humans didn't, either. Neanderthal fossils, for example, show that they often met their demise at the hands of their fellows; there is even frequent evidence of cannibalism. So they clearly had no right to life. Such evidence is much rarer among fossils of anatomically modern humans, indicating that something crucial changed between Neanderthal society and modern human society. The fact is, modern humans could not compete with Neanderthals on an individual basis. Neanderthals were much larger and stronger, and were probably smarter as they had larger brains. But somehow we beat them, and it didn't even take very long. IMO the evidence suggests that it was our superior social organization, including rights, that enabled us to prevail, and that is why we have rights: they enhance our reproductive success by making our communities stronger and more competitive.
There are similarities, but also crucial differences.
Wrong. A society that secures and reconciles the equal individual rights of all to life, liberty, and property in the fruits of one's labor is a way around it.
Your premise is false, as the evidence of human evolutionary history demonstrates.

Lol...as trump would say, I prefer businessmen who aren’t losers.
As my old football coach would tell the team, if you can’t cut the mustard you ain’t going to play.
Let’s all enjoy right wing world where everyone is on their own and free to eat **** and die when things go belly up.
And what’s with all of this socialized medicine treating Covid victims for free anyway?
If you get sick, pay to see a doctor or go to a hospital and stop expecting to be given first rate medical care with my tax money.
And don’t get me started on using my tax money to pay other's salaries or business costs when they can’t cut the mustard. That’s just rank socialism. Let them go live under a bridge and beg for food at soup kitchens if they can’t pay their bills. Don’t take my money.
Hey, I’m starting to like this right wing stuff. I get to hoard all my money and everyone else is on their own to do as they please.
After all, only losers fail, don’t they?

I'm just giving you the reflection of what you present, the position you take as seen by others. Of course you don't like it. IF you could read your own junk and recognize it, I still don't think you would allow yourself to accept it. You seem to have a conspiracy theory, that the world is conspiring against you, and you are powerless to do anything about that alone.
That's an internal problem. like a corruption of the hard drive- nothing on the outside can fix it, and you can't fix it until you are ready to discard that sector of your beliefs.
You have a lot of passion, being wasted on impossible illusions.

No you aren't. You speak only for yourself and your own rapacious desire to profit from injustice, and I will thank you to remember it.
Evil must always be justified, and the only way to justify it is with lies. I don't like the lies that are used to justify evil. You, by contrast, don't like the truth that exposes those lies. Simple.
Again, that is nothing but absurd and disingenuous ad hominem $#!+ you have made up out of whole cloth. I have identified specific institutions that harm not only me but everyone else, except a relative handful of rich, greedy, privileged parasites.
That you made up because you have no facts or arguments to offer.
I'll discard my beliefs when I see some credible factual or logical arguments to the contrary. So far, you are coming up empty on that score, and IMO readers of this thread can see that very clearly.
That is exactly what slave owners told the abolitionists. I am well aware that many of the latter died poor and "unsuccessful" by your standards, and never saw emancipation in reality. But IMO those "failures" were heroes, and incomparably your moral superiors.
