    Anyone notice that "Sleepy Joe" just doesn't seem to have as much "strength" as "Crooked Hillary" did?

    Trump's biggest advantage in 2016 was how hated Clinton was. Biden just doesn't bring out that kind of hatred out of people the way Clinton did. I hardly see any anti Biden merchandise anywhere compared to anti Clinton merchandise for example.

    Just looking at favorables/unfavorables on RCP, Biden breaks about even. He's basically considered "meh". Clinton in 2016 was MUCH more disliked than Biden.

    Yep. Independents for example disliked them both, but disliked Clinton more. Surprise Surprise Trump won Independents 46%-42%. Also, the undecided voter and the voter who hated both candidates ended up voting for Trump by much larger margins. Also, polls in 2016 showed there was way more undecided voters than now, which benefitted Trump the supposed "outsider" immensely. He had a large pool of voters to draw from.

    This year, there seems to be way less undecided voters, and the "hate both candidate" voters seem to be heavily leaning towards Biden this time around. Also, Trump has lost ground with independents (a group that never liked him in the first place). In 2018 Independents broke 54%-42% for House Democrats. If Trump loses independents this year, it's over for him. The Republican base is simply not large enough to win elections on their own.

    Protesters are keeping people from leaving the rally now that it's over. Not sure why the same people wouldn't have been able to prevent some people from entering the rally beforehand.

    To further this point even more. Obama won his re-election in 2012 by a larger margin than Trump in 2016, and yet he lost Independents 50-45% to Romney. Both parties need Independents, but the Democrats have a large enough base that when they turn out, they can still win. Republicans don't have that luxury.

    Watched it on TV. I think it was awesome. Even my Democrat Wife liked a great deal of it. In fact, she's the one who turned it on.

    It was a good rally. Trump has a lot of energy and stamina, plus he can be amusing on stage. He plays well to a crowd. Stark contrast to the competition.

    Well, if the million supporters actually showed up as Trump bragged about, they would have outnumbered the protesters. But the protesters clearly outnumbers his supporters.

    Only one entrance to the rally. Except for the people who camped out a day or more ahead of time, people couldn't get in.

    Thought it was hilarious how he talked about going down a slick metal ramp in leather soled shoes and "Fake News" latched on to that concluding he had "Parkinsons Disease". Fake News was at it again right after the Rally/ They pan the empty seats with a wide angle lens and avoid showing the crowd. Then they say Trump is seriously cutting back on testings which was light hearted humor they ca't understand. The point was, more testing shows more cases where wishful Democrats want to play that up as a second wave of the Pandemic. He jokingly said he should have cut back on testing. Fake News can never say one thing positive about our President. They really have to dig to stick with their unwavering narrative!
