Yep sad to say the majority of Americans accept a whole lot ideas hat run the gamut from stupid to horrible and stupid.

 

In all the decades I've paying attention to politics republicans consistently blame Dems for all problems, yet they seem unable to do anything about it. So either Dems are all powerful or republicans are completely incompetent.

 

The idea of from each according to his means to each according to his needs begets totalitarianism the way chickens beget eggs. You simply can't have one without the other.

 

It is encouraging for me to know that in the 1st American Revolution the Patriots were a minority. The majority were loyalists or Tories. The Patriots through their compassion and zeal gradually won over many of the loyalists

I would like to compare that to what we have going on in the future. Likely, I won't see this through to fruition, but I believe there are many such young Patriots. They are not enslaved to the idea of "entitlement". Many have been homeschooled or taught in privately funded schools. Their parents handed down correct values. Independence is exciting. Socialism is boring..

 

The fundamentals of the Constitution was NOT meant to change. Changes have taken place within it's design, but the recognition that mankind is deeply flawed and government is only a necessary evil is a constant. Some things are eternal. The law of gravity does not change. When you grow government beyond this design you sacrifice liberty. Mankind was designed to be free. His flawed nature, however, dictates that through his pride he always knows better and will capitalize on that flawed assumption.

 

So his law and order campaign strategy is a fraud, since he has no real power at those levels. I thought so.

 

You betcha, today's liberals are tomorrows conservatives and the world progresses.

Leftists always believe "change" goes in a positive direction. Of course it didn't in Hitlers Germany and we know that. Perhaps that is why they so readily accept the theory of Evolution.

Pre covid I've never seen America in better shape and post covid its remarkable how well our economy has held up. DOW bounced right back and unemployment is falling monthy.
