Ok Maybe I was wrong this time. I hope the football fans attending don't get sick. They should be tested before entering the stadium. I think that will happen, I hope I'm right.

Aiming to reach as wide an audience as possible, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert, has talked to journalists, medical groups and even actors to spread the word about how to prevent coronavirus. This week, he talked with Girls Trip and The Last OG star Tiffany Haddish, and the results were entertaining and informative. Read on to see what he said, and to ensure your health and the health of others, don't miss these Sure Signs You've Already Had Coronavirus.

If there any fans that come to the game, there will be COVID-19 rules to follow. and what will go on:

Football returns to Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday night as the Kansas City Chiefs kick off the 2020 campaign, and while the Chiefs prepare to defend their Super Bowl title on the field, fans will notice several protocols in place throughout the stadium meant to provide the safest environment possible amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

First, the stadium operations staff is working around the clock to sanitize the building to the highest possible standard. Arrowhead Stadium has secured Global Biorisk Advisory Council certification, which is the cleaning industry's only outbreak prevention, response and recovery accreditation for facilities. This includes the cleaning and sanitization of high-touch areas before and after each game and regularly throughout the contest with hospital grade disinfectants.

And as fans arrive, there are various policies in place to reduce person-to-person contact and maintain social distancing. That includes a requirement that individuals wear masks at all times during their visit including while in their seated location, a no bag policy (including previously approved clear bags) and dedicated points of entry.

Those specific points of entry will be based on seating location, or "Zone." Guests will have a specific parking and stadium gate to enter to minimize contact and crossover with other guests. Zone locations are fixed, so circumnavigating the stadium isn't possible and a fan's experience during the event is restricted to that zone, including restrooms, retail and food and beverage.

Another key policy change is that all concessions, retail points of sale and parking tollbooths will be operating on a cashless basis in an effort to reduce physical contact with others. There will be a variety of limited contact and contactless concession experiences available, including "Grab N' Go's," self-checkout, order pickup, and kiosk ordering stands throughout the stadium.

These concessions models expedite the speed of service and support social distancing efforts. Additionally, the point of sale ratio-per-fan is improved by greater than 60 percent throughout the stadium, meaning significantly less demand-per-stand during peak periods.

Lastly, tailgating will be allowed, but guests must only use the tailgate area behind their vehicle to maintain proper physical distancing between groups and tailgate only with individuals in their seating pod.

Overall, it boils down to four simple things to keep in mind:

    1) Know your zone and have a game plan.

    2) Wear your mask at all times, even while seated.

    3) Maintain social distance throughout your visit.

    4) Have patience and know we are all in this together.

The Chiefs rely on one another when competing on the field, and the organization is asking the same of fans on game day. By being a good teammate during your visit, you're helping to protect the Kingdom as a whole.

I have attended 2 events during Covid-19, both were run well and in the end, mere skeletons of what they used to be. Going through motions these organizations tried to appease their audiences

Other than the Kansas City Chiefs, The Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys will allow limited number of fans opening week, all others will have empty stadiums. At least I was right on most of them.

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has dismissed a report suggesting the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally was a "superspreading event" for COVID-19 that cost billions of dollars in health costs. Researchers from the Center for Health Economics and Policy Studies at San Diego State University in California claimed event, which attracted nearly 500,000 visitors, may have resulted in 266,796 new coronavirus cases—nearly 20 percent of the 1.4 million new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the U.S. between August 2 and September 2.

I hope they took your temperature, Have hand sanitizer, require that you wear a mask and leave it on, and keep your distance six feet from others. Did they do that?

The nation’s top infectious diseases expert sharply split on Friday with President Donald Trump’s assertion that the country is “rounding the final turn” of the coronavirus pandemic.
“I'm sorry but I have to disagree with that,” National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell, calling the United States’ coronavirus levels seven months into the pandemic “disturbing.”

“We are plateauing around 40,000 cases a day and the deaths are around 1,000,” Fauci pointed out, adding that he hopes the country doesn’t see another spike following Labor Day weekend like it did after Memorial Day and Fourth of July as flu season draws closer.

“What we don't want to see is going into the fall season, when people will be spending more time indoors — and that's not good for a respiratory-borne virus — you don't want to start off already with a baseline that's so high,” he said, reiterating a point he has made consistently over the last few months.

His comments came less than a day after Trump told reporters at the White House that the U.S. might be nearing the end of its struggle with the virus, which has killed more than 192,000 and infected more than 6.4 million Americans.

Trump’s public commentary on the virus has come under even more scrutiny after remarks he made to the famed Watergate journalist Bob Woodward in February and March in which the president acknowledged the “deadly” nature of the virus. He also spoke of its ability to be transmitted through air particles, while at the same time reassuring the public that the risk of the pathogen was no worse than the flu.

The president told Woodward that he deliberately played down the virus so as not to panic Americans, a defense he has stood by since recordings of the interviews became public.

COVID-19 is Still Devastating Nursing Homes. The Trump Administration Isn't Doing Much To Stop It

75,000 Americans in nursing homes and other long-term care facilities have already died from COVID-19—and the devastation is far from over. After a decrease earlier this summer, the death toll is now rising once again, and as the country heads into the fall and then flu season, millions of Americans who require institutional long-term care remain at the greatest risk.
But, so far, the Trump Administration has talked a big talk—and mostly failed to deliver.

The White House trumpeted its efforts to send personal protective equipment (PPE) and testing materials to long-term care facilities, but the supplies that actually arrived have been limited in quantity and sometimes unusable. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) ramped up its requirements for how often nursing homes must test staffers and residents, but has so far failed to ensure that facilities will have access to all the test kits they need. And this week, Senate Republicans crowed about their scaled-back version of a coronavirus relief bill, but it did not include any funding specifically for long-term care facilities, among the hardest-hit places in the country.

The government’s failure to prioritize those in need of long-term care has stymied nursing homes and other facilities in the Midwest and South, where infection rates are high. Industry experts say the Trump Administration’s moves are making it more difficult for facilities to implement lessons learned from previous surges in New York, Massachusetts and Michigan, thus failing to prevent a wave of new nursing home deaths and causing some nursing homes to close their doors.

“It’s pretty frustrating and disappointing,” says David Grabowski, a professor of health care policy at Harvard Medical School. “We really had many opportunities, and still do, to address COVID in nursing homes, and yet we haven’t made it a national priority.”

This is a long video, but one that tracks worldwide records and indicates reliable and consistent patterns. It appears to show the end of the epidemic is about here, worldwide.
Logical and rational, something often lacking in virus reports.

Does it surprise anyone that this COVID-19 pandemic lasted this long? How much longer will it last? does anyone know? There are still people dying by the thousands, Does anyone care? Do any of you wish this pandemic will end? I do but I won't be surprised that this COVID-19 will last longer than we could imagine. That's all I will say for now.

Some think this virus will linger for years and others think it will never go away, but perhaps keep percolating around as the common cold does.

I think the Chinese will either update it or bring out a new version if the damage of this one begins to fade.

Perhaps you could explain the benefit China received by ruining the economy of all their customers?

The less we can produce here- the more we will buy from China. IF China becomes the worlds most powerful economic force, it controls a very great deal- and it's close. Our weakness IS their strength, it makes us more dependent on them. Think on it; it will come to you.

The world has got no money left to buy anything!
China exports Dec 2019 $237B. Drops to $185B Mar 2020. Has only started to rise when countries came out of lockdown

This isn't universally true. Some businesses are doing well because of the pandemic, some are doing worse. Bottom line overall is not good of course.
My business has customers in over 100 countries, but international shipping is virtually down, so we are not able to do business there- but for some reason, we are still at record levels. We make specialized medical equipment and do some prototype development. For some reason, we are on the lucky side of events. Still- we are creating damages to our economy by the division and rancor that is being fueled across the country. In the end, everyone will lose something because of it, and I don't think anything will be gained. We should be able to do better- a lot better.

I agree that we need to be less tethered to China production. It’s been brought to our attention in a painful way. Drugs and PPE to name the most recent issues.
I don’t agree that is was a deliberate plot by China. They are “fiendishly cunning“ but I don’t think they are evil.

I don't know, maybe it's just me; when I hear "pandemic" I think along the lines of rotting corpses in the streets being fought over by packs of wild dogs and starving survivors. But take heart, if we can just keep the hysteria rolling along we may get there yet.
