The Senate should end anything other than majority votes.

They can thanks to Ex-Democratic Senate Majority Harry Reid's first use of the nuclear option and setting the precedence. Then I think one ought to remember that Chuck Schumer stated back in 2007 there would be no vote on G.W. Bush's SCOTUS nominee if a vacancy came open during his last 18 months.

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/schumer-in-2007-dont-confirm-any-bush-supreme-court-nominee

McConnell not voting on Garland probably was a political payback for Schumer's actions in 2007. McConnell had more than enough votes to deny confirmation of Garland. Why no vote on Garland, I think McConnell wanted Schumer to know two can play his game. Perhaps today, McConnell wants Ex-Democratic Senate Majority Harry Reid that two can play Reid's game.

Now I wonder if there is enough time even if McConnell expedites the confirmation. It usually takes at least 2 months which would put any vote on Trump's new nominee after the election and during the lame duck session regardless of who wins.

If Ex-Democratic Senate Majority Harry Reid hadn't first used the nuclear option, it would still take 60 votes for cloture. If and in my opinion it's still a big if, if Trump gets 3 SCOTUS appointments confirmed, all three lay directly at the feet of Ex-Democratic Senate Majority Harry Reid's first use and setting the precedence of using the nuclear option. Democrats, you all should be blaming Reid, not Trump nor McConnell or going around calling names.

I warned all of you of the very shortsightedness of Ex-Democratic Senate Majority Harry Reid's first use of the nuclear option while all you Democrats were jumping up and down with glee and saying, "It's about time." Now it seems you may pay for that shortsightedness for a short term political gain for a disastrous future. So we'll see what happens.

Zomg! A dated reference to a Leftist talking point that turned out to be another nothingburger as usual. Trump has become the first peacemaker president in living memory and it hasn't been by doing Putin's bidding.

Trump isnt an edeologue. His only interest is his own re-election, therefore he would be smart to wait amd not nominate a replacement judge now. It would get many out to the polls to vote for him who otherwise may have stayed home.

Never been to one, that's a place of business, not a home. Ever since Mad Maxine encouraged public harassment of elected officials, th violence has ramped up. How the hell did she get away with that?

No, not one bit, It's true. What I said, below. Note the word "some".

Unsuprisingly, some democrats are already threatening violence in a nomination goes forward. They gonna riot (some more)?

See what I responded to because it's a text book definition on a hypothetical.... stick with facts not your opinion of what the other side might do in a scenario.

There are many, many instances where democrats have been hypocrites, so we don't need to focus on what McConnel is specifically doing.

BLM and ANTIFA are leftist, supported by many on the left. As to your other question, go ask them. Who knows?
Are you acting like you dont know who the rioters are?
