I really think McConnell needs to be consistent with his actions in 2016 (even if I disagree with them) or else he is just admitting he just didn't want a democrat to nominate Supreme Court justices. This sets a very dangerous precedent for a completely partisan breakdown in this process.

That's not accurate. Conner Betts, an anti-fascist, murdered a bunch of people. And recently, Michael Reinoehl, who described himself as "100% antifa", committed a murder in Portland.
