He's not reciting the oath. He's using parts of it rhetorically - mid-speech - to illustrate his point:

No, what actually happened is that he quoted parts of the pledge in a completely rational way. The people claiming this is "dementia" fall into two camps: they either didn't actually watch the clip or they are deliberately misrepresenting it in order to fake a "dementia" claim. There are no other options. I'm not a Dem and I call it fake . . . because any rational person would call it fake. And, frankly, you know it.

I'm not voting Dem in the Presidential election, as I've said dozens of times now. And, yes, it is fake news. He wasn't reciting the pledge. He quoted a couple of lines that, in context, make perfect sense. Just try reading. I hope that is not too much to ask for, but nothing would surprise me at this point. As for dementia, I see the same "signs" with Biden that I do with Trump. I don't care when it comes to either. Both show slip-ups. Only hypocrites claim that the slip-ups of one matter more than the slip-ups of the other. I prefer to avoid hypocrisy in that regard. Not sure why that is a controversial position. Feel free, however, to explain why hypocrisy is okay and why I should have a different standard for your candidate.
