You keep confusing me with a democrat. LOL.

Complete disrespect for our current president is not equal to being a democrat.

    No, not really.

My very republican, midwest red-state, in-laws, voted for Trump in 2016 and this year. They absolutely despise the man.

People that vote for Trump are no more a cult than people who vote for Biden are a cult.

If Biden is certified a winner will the constant use of polarizing hyperbole by liberals end?

I don't think Biden has a cult following.

    Obama did. Trump does.

I don't believe all who support Trump are worshipers, though. For some, the man can literally do no wrong. There's a handful of people on this forum who have never criticized a single thing he's done. (Same goes for Obama.)

I do not believe Biden will get that sort of loyalty. He's a vehicle to get us from WH temper tantrums, to sanity.

Or, they aren't so blinded by ideology that they can overcome politics for sanity?

Jimmy Carter was a one-term president, who went on to do more good for humanity than any ex-president, previously.

Many in the south value family, and consider loyalty and honesty over politics.

ABC, NBC, CBS project the winner.

It's called tradition. Only once in history has the network projected winner not get inaugurated.

I have criticized Trump for not building a wall, sending National Guard to the border before a midterm election without weapons and keeping them 100 miles from from the actual border, i.e. a stunt, and his big spending. In order words I view Trump as a somewhat moderate Democrat who switched parties for political reasons.

On the other hand there is Biden. Promising to let illegals into the country and give them free stuff. Promising to end fracking and in his words put Oil Executives in jail, threatening an un-Constitutional Covid lockdown, constantly ranting about systemic racism, supporting free education, the Green New Deal, wanting social workers sent out with cops, etc. etc.

Pretty sure I am not a cultist and also pretty sure many other people on PF who likely voted for Trump are not cultists.

Have we ever had the large scale mail in voting of this election? Pretty sure we have not. And if not, tradition is not applicable.

Tradition you say? What about the tradition of standing for the National Anthem, saying the pledge, men marrying real women, celebrating Columbus Day, and wearing your pants above your waist?

What were you saying about tradition?

Biden is not going to open the flood gates and throw cash at illegal immigrants.

He's a moderate. He always has been. He and McConnell are friends.

I never accused you of being a cultist. He does have several on this forum, though.

Really? His agreement with Bernie on the Green New Deal? Stopping Fracking?

It doesn't really matter. He's not making any decisions. Jill Biden is your President until they can't hide him anymore. Then we get the most Left Leaning Senator as that's what he chose for his V.P.
I enjoy Al Jazeera. It started when I was on a business trip in London years ago. I watched it and was instantly hooked. It was straight news on topics the U.S. News agencies never touch. There's a much bigger world out there.

We have a cult of people that think the MSM is telling them the truth. How do they trust the MSM when they have been caught repeatedly just being propagandists? Even in their "hard news". They all tell the same stories, ignoring others, with the exact same spin. It's cultish. They use the same damn talking points as the Democratic Party. The video montages of them doing it are a joke on U.S. Citizens.

Some people want Big Daddy Government so bad that they will believe those that promise it no matter what. Cowards.

We didn't let people who didn't own land, vote. Then we did. We didn't let people with non white skin vote, Then we did. We didn't let women vote, Then we did. We didn't let people vote by mail until the Civil War, Then we did. No states had 100% mail in, until Utah many years ago. Now we do.

We've had inaugurations and a peaceful transfer of power, for our entire history.

Who gets to vote and how we vote keeps changing. How we transition hasn't really changed much at all.

The tradition of losing an election due to fraud (Kennedy v. Nixon) and saying nothing, as well as the traditions you mentioned, ended with the demise of what was once called a polite society.

Its terrifying that so many people on the left have been brainwashed by the MSM into thinking his presidency was anything but solid. Out performing obama while spending less.

Being BEATEN by "sleepy Joe" who spent most of the election in his basement has got to BURN!

    Congratulations to President Joe Biden!

Time to put the ADULTS back in charge.

Ah, the old 'fog the issue' trick.

Okay, two can play that game...

Well, the bible has tons of stories with men having many wives, so there is a tradition of polygamy going down the annals of history.

In other words, none of these traditions, which are different now because mankind has evolved as the result of collective enlightenment and catharsis, doesn't really apply to the tradition of the three networks projecting the winner and the winner getting inaugurated, whereupon there is no cathartic underpinnings trying to change the tradition, other than republicans clinging to the impossible idea that Trump is going to win.

Apparently you are unable to make such distinctions.

The mail in ballot has nothing to do with the three networks projecting the winner as soon as the calculation is made that warrants the projection. The ONLY effect of the mail in ballot is the fact that the projection took longer.

Other than that, nothing has changed, other than, unlike other presidents, Trump has attempted to undermine the confidence in the election by harping on irregularities, which occur in all elections, and trying to make it seem like dems are cheating, when, in point of fact, they are not. Proof of that fact is due to the fact that Trump has brought some 15 lawsuits, and all of them have been tossed out of court.

One thing is certain; Trump will never be welcome in my Uncle’s Church. At 82, He’s still a Senior Pastor, very old ways, both morally and ethically, and his occasional sermons have been about Trump’s Walk&Talk, and every congregation members knows it.

My huge family, very wealthy, and still highly influential.....several of our town buildings still displays our family name. We’re also related to Gary Johnson’s mother.

Thus, although we considered ourselves Christian conservatives, fiscal conservative, Libertarians and Republican-leaning, in this election, we’ve voted against Trump.

And all of the above also explains why our local Trump supporters don’t want to talk politics, and/or have been keeping a low profile.

Do you really believe Biden could have won if Bernie Sanders and his base did not get out and vote like they did in 2016? We know Harris is a progressive which should be a clue how Biden will "handle" progressives. Biden knows he will need the progressive voters to keep the House in 2018. So is Biden going to crap on them now knowing he will need them again in 2018? Take your time and think this through. So far you've been shooting from the hip with your answers.
